Sheild Catering

Natalie Sheild prepared an assortment of cheeses, meats, olives, and nuts to pair with wine at Sweet Cheeks Winery. She went above and beyond and the set up was beautiful. She also stayed the entire time to make sure all went well. I usually worry too much about all the details, but I was worry free knowing she was there to take care of the appetizers.

Not only did she tailor a five-​day meal plan to fit the needs of our 25-​person film crew, and our rather disparate dietary needs, she made it happen within our budget. Each delicious meal had gluten-​free, dairy-​free, vegan, vegetarian, and even Paleo options. All while staying within our budget (!).
Over and over again, the crew commented how this was the best food experience they had ever had on a film set, or even with a personal chef. Natalie was incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating to our bizarre schedule and needs. She prepared three hot meals a day, with snacks and desserts that everyone could enjoy. Always up before we began the day and the last one to go to sleep. Her presentation was impeccable and she left the kitchen spotless.
I was shocked how many fresh vegetables I ate over the course of the shoot— her recipes were incredible, and healthy. What could be better than that? Her lemon herbed chicken was definitely one of my favorite meals, the kind of dish that is perfect wedding or party food. This meal was better than what was served at my wedding.
The BBQ pulled pork dinner, or pot roast, mashed potatoes, and vegetable medley kept our crew coming back for seconds. I can’t speak highly enough of the quality of the food. She sourced most of the vegetables from local farmers and only served high quality meats and eggs.
Fresh focaccia bread warmed us from within. Her popcorn bar, with four kinds of sweet and savory toppings, boosted morale on the last day. Whether cooking for an individual, a group, a wedding, or a film crew, Natalie’s repertoire is hands down, freaking amazing. We will definitely be using her again in the future.
We highly recommend her for any of your personal chef/​catering/​cooking/​crafty needs! Just ask about her peach preserves. One taste says this is the best decision you’ve ever made. Seriously, ask for a taste, you won’t regret it.
