Firstly, this is no Fernandez. I’ve unfortunately grown accustomed to the best Puerto Rican food around, so the tiny little spots like this really can’t compare. This place is just ok. Their Spanish rice is flavorful. Their pernil is definitely wanting though. It needs more seasoning. They’ve got a variety of other options which look ok.

My favorite food! I wish I could go back to Springfield just to eat some of their fish. I came here with some friends, and they ordered beef with yellow rice and beans, and one friend ordered pork with rice. I got the fried fish with yellow rice and beans. We got plates for $ 5, which was awesome because we only had $ 5 for each of us.

Now named«Borinquen & Quisqueya». The food here is authentic Latino. The owner is Dominican and his wife Puerto Rican. There were a lot of freshly prepared dishes food to choose from at the counter. While I was there, they brought out a few more dishes I would have liked to try. This is a neighborhood restaurant with no frills. Don’t expect a maître d’ or any real ambiance.
