Ridgewood Corner Cafe

Service was bad drinks were warm. As soon as my girlfriend and I walked in we were given dirty looks. We sat down and did not get service for the first five minutes even though we were sitting at the bar. My girlfriend had a gin and tonic. The drink was full of ice not even a full drink. I asked for a draft bud light it was warm. The Waitress asked what we wanted to eat after one minute of looking at the menu. We had not decided. After we had decided I made eye contact closed menu to signal we were ready to order. She never asked again she only gave dirty looks. Once we decided we didn’t want to eat their because the older couple next us asked for their food and received a dirty response we tried to get the bill. The waitress disappeared to the back so after ten minutes we left the money for the drinks and left. Will never go back.

Enjoyed a great evening with friends watching the Buckeyes win. Not really a sports bar only 2 TVS but the wait staff bar tender Melissa was friendly and attentive. I really liked the Cajun chicken wings they were dusted with seasoning not covered in sauce, very tasty. Nachos were good and the chilli cheese fries were okay. Friends enjoyed the wings and the Philly steak sandwich. The place has a patio that’s great in warm weather and other patrons were friendly and we’ll behaved for a mostly bar crowd. This could become a regular hangout for the neighborhood.

I’ve only been to Richwood once, but it was quite enjoyable. The best things about the café are actually the location and the atmosphere. The people working there are also very friendly. I am not sure if I am a fan of the ESPN on all TV’s though this place deserves better than to just be another sports bar.
What is not so great about Richwood is the beer selection very small when I was there. They have two menus: one pricey and one not so pricey. I had a Philly Cheesesteak that was ok and my girlfriend had a Rueben that was ok as well, but nothing amazing.
I would recommend this place because of the atmosphere and the cool signs on the inside, but try something else than what I had. I will go there again and if it is not better the grade will go down.
