I was skeptical especially since this is a food truck but wow! The pizzas were an excellent quality that you would find at a sit down restaurant. In fact they tasted better than many sit down restaurants. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. All the ingredients were fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection. I recommend the Dalmatian with Italian sausage. The only thing that is kind of different is their marketing has a dog, on a pizza with bicycle pedals. If the operation were to grow I would recommend branding that would identify quality with Remo’s because that is their greatest strength.

This pizza truck has been at my work the past two days and I’ll admit that after eating their pizza for lunch yesterday, I may have intentionally forgotten my lunch in the fridge this morning. Neapolitan style pizza is absolutely my favorite style pizza ever and after a horrible experience trying«local»(I guess its called St Louis style?) pizza I was really worried about my pizza prospects in Springfield. Its OK you guys, no need to worry because this pizza truck is saving my life. Seriously. While Via Tribunali in Seattle still wins the«best pizza I’ve eaten in the US» award, I would not be sad to devour pizzas from Remo’s on a regular basis. The crust is exactly what it should be — slightly puffy, a little charred and just right chewy. The fresh mozzarella definitely needs a few minutes to cool to get the perfect texture(so, seriously, resist inhaling your pizza right when they hand it over) and most of the toppings are high quality. Opt out of pineapple here though because they obviously used canned and all that extra moisture isn’t doing the already high moisture fresh mozz any favors. I may just save myself the frustration of eating any more gross Midwestern pizza and reserve my weekly pizza binge for Remo’s.

This food truck contains a mobile brick oven and parks at Farmers Markets throughout the Springfield area. I wanted to post a review on Unilocal because it is now my favorite pizza in Springfield. The crust is soft and chewy with that slightly charred taste that only a brick oven can impart, and the toppings are fresh and well balanced. I can’t wait to eat their pizza again. As of this review, they park at the Greater Springfield Farmers Market(in the parking lot of the Battlefield Mall) on Saturdays from 8:00 — 1:00 and at the Ozark Downtown Farmers Market(in Ozark, MO) on Wednesday from 4:30 — 7:30. I recommend checking their Facebook page for more details.
