Great food every time! Very friendly staff. Always great specials and highly recommend the steak frites.

This place is great! The Cuban and the Cheddar Irish Bacon Burger were absolutely fabulous. I added avocado the Cheddar Irish Bacon Burger and it was so incredible. My boyfriend got the Cuban and said hands down it was the best Cuban he’d ever had. We also got the garlic tossed fries and that was the icing on the cake for our meal. The calamari was delicious as well as the cocktails. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. One of our new favorite places, we will definitely recommend this place. Cannot wait to go back to try more of the yummy offerings on the menu.

We ended up going here twice. The first time I got the lamb and my partner got the duck sandwich. Both dishes were too sweet and overall underwhelming. Two days later we decided give it another chance as the burgers looked good. I’m usually a quantity over quality type of person but these burgers were weak – dry and way too much bread. They don’t even have normal ketchup. On top of that we waited almost an hour for our food. Would not recommend. I would have rather just eaten a cupcake.

It’s a great place in Springfield. It has good beer and a great location and a fun staff but the food is a little below average from what you would expect at a similar establishment. I rate it 4 stars because there isn’t a lot of alternatives in Springfield but it makes me want to cross the river and head into Eugene for better food.

So this was one of our favorite places to gather several times a month with a large group of friends… They had the most amazing pork nachos and Mac and cheese!!! Well apparently as of late they have decided to no longer offer both of these menu items… Even if you requested them specially… And with that news our group will surely find somewhere else to dine weekly… Very disappointed in this change…

We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast. Our Waiter was Trevor P. A shout out for an amazing guy. He was fast, on top of everything. The place was packed when we went and Trevor didn’t skip a beat! The food was fresh tasted great and was affordable. This place was recommend from a cashier at Cabella’s and we are glad we took the time to find it.

The food has been really great 90% of the time, and just OK about 10%. Still one of the best places to eat in Springfield, and the Cheddar Irish Bacon Burger is to DIE for!

Gave this place a third chance and don’t think I will be back soon. My wife ordered the Lamb Melt, which was awesome and I ordered the burger and added tomato, raw onion, and mushrooms. I also upgraded to the pulled pork tossed fries. The burger was good, but not not medium rare as I had ordered. The fries came out plain, so the food runner went back to check the ticket to make sure I ordered them. She came back with a soup cup of fatty, greasy pork. The pork was not good, the kitchen did not remove enough fat and mix it into the meat. The serving I had was about 1⁄3rd fat and about half of the soup cup was grease. I told this to the server and said it was disappointing to not have the fries tossed and her response was«Oh, this is how it comes» …What in a soup cup? Then why the hell are they called tossed fries? I assume the garlic parm tossed fries are tossed. If the fries were actually cost them the grease in the park that would have melted into the fries a little bit more and solve the problems I had. Also if they decide not to test their costs rise the server could have easily told me when I ordered the up-charge to say«the menu is a little misleading the pork actually comes on the side.» Another irritating thing is that nothing was done to the bill or even offered due to this and I barely ate any reports since it was swimming in grease and covered in fat. I can understand that she didn’t want to get a manager to remove that from the bill, but I saw that I was charged $ 3 worth of opening food for the modifications to my burger. I understand paying for the mushrooms I added but a dollar each I assume for the tiny tomato and onion I added to the Burger is a bit strange when it’s already a $ 12 Burger. The service is also subpar they weren’t that busy and I sat without water, the only thing I was drinking most of the meal and we were rarely checked up on. Other than those nitpicks my wife’s sandwich was amazing, and the burger did taste very good. However this is not the quality and service I would expect it almost $ 40 for two people to go out to eat. I know this may be just the service I received because I know plenty of people that like this place however this is my third time there and third time not being impressed.

Went this morning for brunch and couldn’t wait to Unilocal about it, it was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the Applewood Smoked Ham Hash!!! WOW! Easily one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in this town, maybe ever. The food quality was fantastic; very fresh. It was big, chunky home fries with smoked ham, sautéed onions, mushrooms, raw baby kale, au gratin sauce, and a fried egg on top… the kale ‘cooked’ perfectly by the heat of the other ingredients, with a little bit of raw here and there. Amazing! Genius!!! My friend got the Chilaquiles which was also very impressive. Good, smooth decaf, nice atmosphere, friendly wait staff. Defo coming back and bringing everyone I know.

I’ve only been here once, and the mixed reviews are noted. But I liked it, a lot. High ceilings, lots of different space to handle groups, friendly(if a little harried) service, interesting menu choices. And of course, great beer. Came here for an event with eighteen or so, both the space and the staff handled our crowd well. I had rabbit banh mi sandwich, sounded interesting but hard to tell the difference from pork. Nonetheless our crowd enjoyed their food and the venue; walking out, several other groups seemed to be having an equally good time. I look forward to next time.

While this place has a lovely dining room, the food and beer was rather«meh» to me. I wasn’t blown away by the service, and felt that it was quite lack luster. There are some items on the menu that you don’t see everywhere, like rabbit, but again, it wasn’t anything special taste and presentation wise. Also, heads up to anyone going in a group of 7+, an automatic 18%(!) gratuity is added to the ticket, regardless of if the tickets are separate. I do not plan on returning.

I work down the street so I go here for breakfast/lunch quite often. I took my boyfriend here with me last night for his first time and my first time for dinner. They were pretty busy and we sat at the bar. We ordered cocktails, appetizer, and dinner. Started with calamari. I got the fried chicken sandwich and he ordered their steak sammy. I really enjoyed mine, I loved the homemade pickles. Their fries are my faaaavorite fries ever so I was a happy camper. My boyfriend liked his just okay, he said their food was a little bland for their taste. My favorite part was the prosecco cocktail of the night. The flavor was lime/bitters. The bartender put a sugar cube in the glass and put bitters on top of it. She then filled the glass with prosecco and the sugar fizzed the whole time I was drinking it without making the drink too sweet. It was really good and fun to look at! Service was slow but overall it was a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back in for dinner!

Great Dark Beer! Foggy Scotsmen and Streetcar Stout … unbelievably good.(And I really don’t usually like Dark beer) I would drink a pitcher of either. Burgers were great and the Rabbit Bön Mi Sandwich was amazing. The server Travis was exceptional! Great suggestions and great personality. Made dinner even better.

Enjoyed a couple of nice Brunches here in Springfield, OR. It’s not too far away from Eugene if you find yourself standing in line for Breakfast — Always managed to get seated for a large-ish group 4 – 6 of us. Offerings and presentation are outstanding. Bloody Marys, Brunch, Sunshine. The brews are solid, too.

I really enjoyed my visit to Plank Town. Their beers are creative and seriously good. the food is great. I had the Apple and Pork dip sandwich. The dip is their beer cheese soup and went really well with the sandwich(i was a bit skeptical to be honest LOL). My husband had the bacon with Irish cheese burger. for my side I got the slaw which was just okay, my husband got the fries those were pretty good. the restaurant is pretty big with a nice large bar. The service was excellent. I think next time i go, I’m going for Brunch, it sounds off the hook.

With all of the microbreweries, and restaurants serving microbrew, in and around Eugene, missing this one was perhaps inevitable. Plank Town, like Springfield itself, gets overshadowed by the more famous spots in town. Still DLW and I pride ourselves at checking out everything around, so the fact that we had never been here was disconcerting. An invitation to go here for Sunday brunch was just the ticket. They play up Springfield’s sawmill past in the décor, with circular blade logos, nice woodwork all around, and a couple of truly impressive hunks of wood used as artwork. Otherwise it’s a pretty nice barroom with an open floor plan and some tables outside on the sidewalk. This is obviously no dive. DLW elected a rum and ginger cocktail instead of her usual bloody Mary. Although she liked it, I thought it tasted of nothing but rum. At what point is a cocktail too strong? Since it was already warm and I didn’t feel like getting buzzed so early, I opted for the pils rather than an IPA or stout, crisp and refreshing as it should be. I chose chilaquiles for my meal, which oddly had whole white beans and corn, along with pulled pork, salsa and fried egg, all pretty tasty. DLW had biscuits and gravy, one of her faves, and was sorely disappointed. The gravy was gluey and underseasoned, and the biscuits were overworked and undercooked. It was so bad that we took the unusual step of complaining, and the waitress took it off the bill. That bit of consideration saved them a star for this review. The hit-and-miss quality of the food here seems to hold them back in the ratings, because the beer is mostly celebrated.

I visited Plank Town as part of a group of five last week. The others had been to the brewery before and they were big fans. I, too, now agree that it’s a great place for a casual drink. Since it was my first visit, I decided to try one of their flights(four 4 oz. brews for $ 5). They offer a «day» flight, a «night» flight, or a «hop» flight. As an IPA girl, I went with the hops. A pale and two IPAs were available at the time(looked like a double IPA was on-deck), so the fourth choice was a pick-your-own. I heard great things about the Streetcar Stout so I went with that one. As it happened, the stout was the standout of the flight. It was so chocolatey and delicious! Easy to drink. I’d rank it among the top beers of my entire trip to Oregon! From the others, I most enjoyed the Nose Cone, followed by the Rip Tooth. I wasn’t too partial to the Reggie — but hey, that’s the point of a flight, after all. Another thing I noticed about Plank Town was its cleanliness. From the tables to even the bathrooms, the entire place was extremely clean. I really appreciated that. If I lived in the Eugene/Springfield area, I’d certainly have this brewery on my rotation.

Best way I can describe this place’s environment is «Hipster– Hick». Their food is wonderfully adventurous. I enjoyed reading all the interesting mixtures and dishes. If you’re looking for standard, boring American food don’t come here. They have flights of beer, 4 for $ 5, but they don’t let you pick out your own beer for the flight. Very strange. I’ve never actually been anywhere that has predetermined flights. We did not appreciate that at all. Their appetizers are kind of expensive for a brewpub. Appetizers should be between $ 4 – 8. The rest of the menu wasn’t crazy expensive. But this is definitely not a place to just chill with a beer and a cheap snack. I ended up getting the apple and pork dip. This is kind of a version of a french dip sandwich, but with pulled pork, apple bits, swiss cheese, and the dipping sauce was a beer-cheese sauce. This sandwich really brought the food critic out in me, probably because I am a huge cheese snob. First off, the ciabatta bread it was on was wonderful! But the whole thing was extremely bland. There was not enough apple on the sandwich and the cheeses used on the sandwich and for the dipping sauce were very mild. They need to use a stronger cheese on the sandwich, maybe a white cheddar, a havarti, a manchego, or a goat cheese. Anything stronger would have been better than icky-boring swiss. The meat was also flavorless(although very tender), and the sauce could use some kick. Wonderful idea, not wonderfully executed. I think I’ll try to make this at home! My husband got the Bacon Irish Cheddar Burger. They seasoned and cooked the meat perfectly. It was loaded with wonderful fresh ingredients, but there was too much horseradish sauce. My husband said the horseradish was very powerful and covered up everything. He ended up scrapping it off and really enjoying his burger. Their fries are amazing! But their ketchup is weird. I’m not a fan of the ketchup from the store, I enjoy a good home-made unique ketchup. But not this one. We thought this place was only OK, there’s a lot that is on the cusp of being really amazing, but fell short. We wont go out of our way to go here, but if we’re around the area we might stop in again.

Been here 3 times. Glad they are open late and around holidays, but the last time I was there was a bummer. Granted it was xmas eve and maybe the A team had the day off, but geez. They opened the doors to let the smoke out at one point. Yeah, something was burning in the kitchen. Ordered a mushroom appetizer and waited… and waited. The main dishes came out and we inquired about the appetizer — whoops, forgot about it. Asked for some bread to go with the flank steak and it ended up costing 2 dollars. Flank steak was undercooked and cool. The burger was quoted as «not very good» from my dining companion. I got my usual of oysters and greens. It was as expected. Tried all the beer flights and it was decided that |“Santa’s lil Hobbit” was the clear winner there.
