I had a small bowl of the combination phở, which was actually more than enough for me! I can only imagine that the large size would be something I wouldn’t be able to finish. The broth and the meats in this dish were quite tasty, though it would have been nice to have some meatballs as well. Still, there was plenty of brisket, steak, tendon, and tripe, along with the noodles, to make this soup quite rich and flavorful. Just like many Vietnamese restaurants, it is custom to go pay for the meal at the register yourself, rather than them bringing you the bill at the table, because I guess some people in this culture believe it is rude to rush a customer out by doing this. Anyway, there is plenty of tables and room to go and eat there, and they seem to do alright in their business. It is also close to the Homestead Suites if you are staying there, right across the street, which makes the location convenient as well. Good stuff!

Not much to look at, but the food was decent, the price was right, and the service was remarkably personable. I enjoyed it and I would eat there again

No frills Vietnamese restaurant. I immediately ordered the summer rolls and #1 small and they came out fast…(Btw no lunch rolls/bowl/drink combos) At the same time. Never seen that before and I like to at least enjoy 1 summer roll before my phở arrives. But no biggie. Whom ever says the broth here is not good… I don’t get it. The broth was great. Tons of meat and tons of noodles. They DIDNOT skimp on the meat!!! Minus 1 star since the BIG summer rolls were just noodles lettuce shrimp and yes PORKTOO! But where is the mint basil and bean sprouts? On my way out the gentlemen was spraying down and cleaning tables. For a communal phở shop this place was CLEAN. Don’t let the 3 star reviews deter you!!! Stop by this place!

For me, Phở is all about the broth and this place the broth tasted like water. No flavor whatsoever.

Nice surprise! It’s a very low key, no fuss place. The food was delicious, prices were very good, and the portions were great! Happy to have stumbled upon it.

I had their number 8 round beef with tendon. It was really good! The place is clean and the service is excellent! I would definitely go there again!

I come by often for a quick fix of my phở addiction. It’s a usual phở place where you get your food quick, pay and out the door. The service and atmosphere is ok, the only the that gets to me is how they leave the tables unclean for a long time even when there aren’t any other customers…

First off, not the friendliest server, but then it IS only she running the whole front of this café style restraint. On the other hand she was quick in service so that’s a plus. The place itself is comfortable, with classic rock playing(honestly not my favorite music but I’m not here to enjoy the music right?) I ordered the crispy spring roll appetizer and the the large everything Phở; I got phở but I had to ask twice for the crispy spring roll… it was not that busy, not sure what is up there. They were ok though so that’s good… fresh and piping hot coming out! The phở was ok but the broth was definitely lacking in good flavor of beef bone, really weak… maybe they were having an off day, because the other reviews lend one to think they have good broth! Well, don’t get me wrong! It was not bad, just not spectacular… glad to write about it here, because I certainly wouldn’t write home about it.

I have loved this place for years. They know me and what I order every time. Tonight I was starving and decided to drive in from Washington DC to this place. I walked in at 9:20pm and although they close at 9:30, I was turned away and told«I’m sorry». What a disappointment. I will not be going back. Settled for Subway next door which was not what I wanted.

I debated on what rating to give this place between 2 and 5 stars and after some thought I’ve decided on a 4. Here’s why. This place should be thought of as a café, not a restaurant. Don’t expect to be checked up on for water refills, or to ask how the food is. There is one woman running the whole show, and a cook. She works very hard and looks very tired. That being said, she was efficient, the portions for the bun(that’s the vermicelli noodle bowl for those used to the Americanized menus at other places) were fantastic. So fresh and generously portioned with great flavoring. The spring roll appetizers were not needed, as I was full halfway through my meal. If you are in the area, give this place a shot, but realize you are there for some fantastic, authentic, food, and not so much having multiple servers at your beck and call.

The crispy wings here are pretty good. Careful though. They have a lot of flavor. Way more than the Phở I also had. The phở is good, but carries only subtle flavors. Once you eat some of the chicken, you can no longer taste the soup.

Not bad not bad. Living in the area my parents frequently ate here when I was growing up. They like to eat at places close by and to them Phở 75 is too far away. I haven’t been here in probably 2 years because I was never a fan. However today I stopped by for a hot bowl of Phở during this cold day. There was no one in the restaurant at the time I visited and I ordered the #1 phở combination. It came out with the usual dish of bean sprouts and etc. One thing I noticed is they did not skimp on these ingredients. The hot bowl of phở came out filled to the brim with a lot of noodles. The broth was alright not comparable to my favorite place but better then other Phở restaurants nearby. Like most other Phở places in the area the quantity of meat was close to nothing. I want to say overall their quality has improved since the last time I have visited. Perhaps if I am feeling lazy I will venture here to fulfill my phở craving. This Phở restaurant has the typical cafeteria style look however it does feel cleaner and is brighter than other Phở restaurants. Now for one downside– I think they use comparatively more MSG then other phở places, right after I left the restaurant I was immediately thirsty and am still thirsty 3 hours later. nothing water can’t solve.

This was one of the first phở places I ever went to 10+ years ago. Decent phở, they skimp a bit on the meat usually. Eggrolls are okay, just what you’d expect. The butter chicken wings are amazing, usually made on order and served hot! The service is not bad for a phở place, better than average I’d say. Clean inside usually, restaurant is one spacious room. Not one of the best phở places, but certainly not one of the worst. I’ll definitely come back even if just for nostalgia and the chicken wings!

I can’t believe this place is still open! I remember coming here for the first time over 10 years ago and commenting on how terrible the food is! Fast forward to this past weekend, I gave Phở Hong Anh another shot b/c someone told me it was«much better now». Boy, were they wrong. We came in at 6pm on a Sunday. We ordered crispy egg rolls, #1 phở special and an eggroll and grilled pork vermicelli bowl. While the service was fast and pleasant, the food was awful! The eggrolls seemed over-fried and was«meh» tasting. It came w/two squares of iceberg lettuce and 4 raw ‘squiggles’ of carrot. WHYWASN’T ITSERVED W/FRESH ROMAINE, PICKLEDCARROTS/JICAMA ANDBASIL? THESEAREVIETNAMESEEGGROLLBASICS, PEOPLE! The phở broth tasted like a step above hot water — where’s the freaking flavor? The vermicelli bowl came w/zero assortment of veggies(half a twig of basil doesn’t count), except too much bean sprout… it’s like this place scored a BOGO offer w/bean sprout. Vietnamese food is known to be fresh and vibrant tasting. This place misses the mark completely! You’ll never catch me here again.

Meh. The best way to describe my experience here was a lack of freshness. I had the garden rolls and tai phở. Service was quick and done with a smile. The garden rolls weren’t that great, I’ve had them with much better flavor and peanut sauce in other places than this. The phở was just ok to me. The noodles were heavily stuck together, and the broth had a savory ness that I don’t usually find in other phở places. The jalapeños provided looked like they we’re cut days ago. I ate my food, but I didn’t find myself wanting to finish it. Overall an okay meal, but not the best phở I’ve had in the area.

I just had phở in Phở Hong Anh like 30 minutes ago(cold and heavy rain in Springfield VA and you need to eat a bowl of phở for weather like today!) I’m a phở lover and I should have listened to other Unilocalers here. ;-(I barely finished 2⁄3 of the phở bowl and I felt like I was going to throw up! The broth is not original phở soup that I used to have in other phở restaurants. it’s just beef broth that lacks flavor. Spring rolls sucked too(only 1 shrimp is in there, and dry chicken breast meat, lettuce and lots of thin noodles). Ahhhh I wish I took a picture but my phone died a few minutes before I was in the restaurant. The restaurant was nearly empty and I only saw a couple of white dudes ordering some phở noodles to go. Is it because today’s weather is not good? Or no one likes food here? I don’t know. The only reason I give this restaurant two stars is because I didn’t taste MSG(maybe a small amount was added, but the soup wasn’t loaded with MSG for sure) in my phở.

I am not a phở expert in any universe. However, I thought it was good. The broth was hot and fragrant, there was a huge bowl with tons of fixings(they definitely aren’t stingy!) and they had quick service. I would go back next time I’m in the area.

Definitely not my first choice when choosing phở restaurants but due to inclement weather it is the closest to my house. I’ve tried this place on many occasions and it has been better. The broth is sometimes inconsistent in flavoring. On this particular occasion it was even more bland than usual. Possibly due to the bad weather recently experienced. For a local place its edible but still not my first choice.

If you see people rating this place four or more stars. THEY’RELYINGTOYOU. If you think this restaurant is «the best ever», you have to get out more. Broaden your horizons. But hey, if you like the qualities I’m about to list about this restaurant, you’ll love this place. 1) Service is «eh» as is any service in a Vietnamese restaurant. 2) Summer rolls are mediocre. 3) Their fried wings appetizer is over-fried and dry. There is no sauce, so if you’re super American, don’t expect any. Unless you ask perhaps. 4) The phở’s ratio is off. Too many noodles and skimpy amounts of meat. Broth lacks flavor. The noodles are way too clumpy. 5) The rice is well cooked(Wooo) 6) The chicken curry’s chicken is alright, the sauce is too thin. Flavor is alright. 7) This place has an odd menu. It’s as if they couldn’t think of anything else and just threw in some french fries and fried chicken. I’d stay away if I were you, it’s probably just reheated bags of french fries/fried chicken from the Giant in the same plaza. There you have it. If you check marked every single one, please, try this place out. Otherwise, you’re better off somewhere else.
