Merrily We Quilt Along

This is the best quilt shop in the Midwest! So friendly and great service. They have a wide variety of quilt fabrics, notions, books, and patterns. Not to mention they sell the best brand of sewing machines, BERNINA! They also sell the top notch brand of long arm quilting machines, Gammill! This is definitely a destination quilt shop if you are in or close to the area!!!

I was in this shop on 01÷10÷13 and purchased a pair of gloves that were to help with hand pain while sewing. After purchase I tried them on and found them to cause me extreme pain rather than helping. I was told I could not return them but that they would talk with the owner in regards to a solution. I left the product and my phone number and information. I called back on 01÷14÷13 because no one had contacted me, I was told that the owner would not refund my money, and that she would only issue a gift certificate minus 20%. The gift certificate is only good for 3 mos and I live 85 miles from this particular store. I also drive truck and am on the road for months at a time. I explained this to them, but they didn’t care. Now I am out the gloves that caused me pain„ 20% of what I paid for them and probably the balance of the gift certificate as I will not be back home before it expires. I could understand this policy if it was yardage purchased, as it is cut to order, but on a prepackaged product? What happens if you get a defective product there? A gift certificate minus 20%? Why would you want to buy from a place that does business in this manner. I want to be assured I will be satisfied with a purchase of that nature not taken to the cleaners. I will not return to this quilt shop and will be advising all of my friends of the same. BEWARE buyers, make sure you want what you are purchasing.
