I love me some good Mexican food and this place offers something different than the other places in town. I would describe the food as mexi gourmet they play on the different flavor of Latin America and plate the food in a very appetizing way. The atmosphere is very nice and would make a great place to go out for date night or a business luncheon. This is our favorite place for cheese dip in Springfield besides Moes in the mall. Overall very delicious eats at this place.

Best restaurant in Springfield! Fresh, authentic food that is huge in flavor, but light on the pocketbook. Every dish is obviously prepared with pride and the Sangrias are worth crossing town for! The only stress you will experience is deciding which delicious meal to go with. Additionally, the restaurant is super clean and tastefully decorated and the staff is delightful. Thank you, LaPaloma for a fabulous lunch with my daughter!

Absolutely incredible. The three of us all ordered something different and each dish was fabulous. Many, many excellent looking items on the menu. Waiter was outstanding and even brought us out some samples without us asking. Will be going back soon.

Best Mexican I have found in two years living in Springfield. You can get classics you cant find anywhere else in the city like Lamb Chops, Colorado Chile, authentic Baja Fish Tacos. $ 10-$ 12 entrees.

I think this is the best Mexican food in town. I moved here from Arizona and thought we’d never have a decent Mexican food place here. Now we do! The place is spotlessly clean, service is great, and it’s a bit different than the other places around Springfield. The California burrito and Spinach Enchiladas are fantastic. Chips and salsa are perfect. Highly recommended!

Their guacamole is delicious and it’s made fresh right in front of you. It was really impressive. We had the cheese dip too which was excellent with the salsa and guacamole. We also both had burritos. I think I had a fajita style burrito and he had a California burrito. Both were delicious. Really great Mexican food and also great service we will definitely be going back. :)

I must add that this restaurant has managed to blow it out of the park again, with the best mole sauce in Springfield. If you thought mole couldn’t be good, try Paloma’s. They might change your mind!

Really solid Mexican food. On a trip through the area, we stumbled upon this local place and were really glad we stopped. Dinner service was quick — we were in and out in 30 minutes. The server was friendly, and we promptly ordered. I got the chicken mole, which was great. I’m a huge fan of mole, and La Paloma does it well. Fair prices for good portions. It was a nice break before hitting the road again. I’ll bookmark for future trips for sure.

For Springfield, La Paloma is a hidden gem in a fine food desert. Overall, the dining experience was fun, quaint, reasonably priced, abs delicious. The La Paloma salad was a savory delight with perfectly cooked chichen and shrimp. The fresh made-at-your-table guacamole was amusing. Having REAL mole at a Springfield restaurant was great. Minor issues — Although very fresh, the guacamole would have benefited from some cumin and some time to mellow the flavors together. The mole here was really too sweet for my tastes and I would have preferred a more savory style, but this is just personal preference. Bottom line, I would come back to try more of the menu.

Amazing food. We had a large party of people and they took great care of us. Food was amazing. Drinks were yummy. We sat outside and it was a beautiful night!

I really enjoyed La Paloma. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because the service was a bit slow at the beginning. I tried a fish stew and the California burrito. Both were extremely delicious. The real standout though was the tableside guacamole. I hate gimmicks as much as the next curmudgeon, but the guacamole was the best that I’ve had in years. It was fresh(obviously) spicy, salty, and creamy. We ran out of room for dessert(guac and 8 million chips really knocked us on our butts), but the dessert menu looked delicious. I look forward to returning with a bit more discipline and trying some more stuff out.

Best Mexican in Springfield, by far. And pretty damn good for just about anywhere. The food is fresh, delicious, and not the usual«plate is hot» Mexican fare. The fresh guacamole is FRESH, made expertly at the table with good ingredients. Chips and salsa are delish. My «top shelf» margarita was excellent, a type of Patron silver I’ve not had. Not as good as Maria’s, but Maria’s is essentially a tequila bar with food. I had the chicken enchiladas with mole, my son the shrimp and potato enchiladas. Both were excellent, lots of flavor, well presented, sauces not too heavy. Really well done. The atmosphere is very nice, too. Nice comfy booths, nice décor, it is a bit more clean and slightly upscale. Well done. All in all, La Paloma made the list. We will be eating here OFTEN. Note for long time Springfieldians: La Paloma is located where Clary’s used to be. It is recognizable as such. Not as upscale as Clary’s, but it is certainly above average. Very nice place.

On our quest for great Springfield Mexican we decided to give La Ploma a try. First off top point for decoration. Place looks great. Small but upscale for a Mexican place in town. This is not classic mexican its more designer. Like the walls the plates come out clean and fresh. I had the chicken spinach enchiladas dish and they were amazing. The lady really liked hers as well. Both were made to order and full of flavor and not heavy. If anything I wish I had one more enchilada on my place because I just couldn’t get enough of that flavor. We finished the meal off with fried ice cream which was good but the cinnamon shell it came in pushed it to great. We will be coming here again!

Fantastic food, service and location. The restaurant was clean and the menu was quite extensive. The prices and portions were great. We tried the guacamole live which is made right at your table… delish! My husband tried the mole sauce and stated it was the best he’s ever had. I enjoyed the lunch beef taco salad. Would definitely recommend this place.

This is the best Mexican-type restaurant in Springfield. Food is fresh, flavorful, and priced very well. I had the California burrito and it was outstanding. They don’t use mix for their margaritas, so no sugary green water. The service is awesome. This is the location where Clary’s once stood and was then turned into possibly the most awful Tex-Mex restaurant I’ve ever been to — City Mexican. However, the old is defiantly out and the new owners have really lightened it up on the inside and it looks great. I highly recommend this place.

My favorite Mexican place in Springfield. This used to be City Mexican, it was dark, expensive and the food was mediocre at best. What a delightful change the new owners brought! Light and airy, friendly staff and delicious food. The menu has lovely pictures and the food looks that way when it makes its way to your table. It tastes even better. The tacos de carne asada and the Panzon burrito are my favorites. One other added benefit is the table side guacamole, it’s delicious and you could make a light meal out of it alone.

We love this place. We love that we have another option on the east side. We love the service and the reception we get when we walk in… they really are glad to have our business. Large menu with so many choices. I had the chicken and spinach enchiladas with poblano sauce. Oh man… so good! Most importantly, they have top shelf margaritas. All natural ingredients… no sugary mixes. Very yummy. Great chips and salsa. Great guac. Haven’t had the quest yet… next time.

The service was very attentive. The Chef came to our table and brought us out some other sauces to try. They were all delish. We had the table side Gauc! Excellent. The Mole! Sauce we tasted was the best I have ever had. Loved it. If your a fan of Mole! Try it. The Fajitas were very good. Good beans & rice even. The 6 Pepper Sauce. The Spinach Sauce. Yum. The Jalepeno Sauce & the Chipotle Sauce(especially the Chipolte) I could eat with a spoon. The remodel of the space is very nice… And a great improvement to move the door to the front. In Short… Get here… Before they are packed every day & night. PS. The hot salsa… Is Hot. The rest of the sauces… Are not too spicy… Just right for me.
