This is a pretty good liquor store. They’ve got a great selection of wines and honestly some of the cheap ones are the best! They’ve got a pretty good selection of beer, though not quite as many local or craft beers as say Johnny Macs. However their prices are decent and they’ve got good hours.

Kappy’s is my JAM. Not the Kappy’s down the street, I’ve never been there despite what Unilocal thinks. THIS Kappy’s. The parking lot is a little bit suspect to get into, there’s no turning lane and the entrance/exits are supposed to be one way(people often don’t follow that). Once you get inside, however, you’ll realize that you are at the Mecca for all things booze. From wine to liquor to beer and more, Kappy’s is the spot to find pretty much anything alcohol-related you’d need. Red solo cups? got ‘em. Ping pong balls for beer pong? yep. A million different nips so you never have to bring the same drink into the movie theatre twice? sure do. Pumpkin porters for all the overly-obsessed suburbanites? absolutely. Miracle pills for your hangover? they have ‘em. Do they work? I don’t know. This Kappy’s also has a recycling center. Cans and bottles must be clean(mine weren’t obsessively so, so don’t worry). And, they only take the cans/bottles that they sell there. There was no line and no waiting, I was in and out of there in a matter of a minute or two, much better than trying to do it all via a machine. All of the employees I’ve dealt with are outright friendly and helpful, willing to fetch you extras of something from the back, talk to you about a new wine, or greet you at the register without a hint of judgment or pity. I love Kappy’s, and now that they’re open on Sundays, my weekend just got a whole lot better.
