Unfortunately arrived too late for lunch but scones and herbal tea very satisfying. Located in attractive period house and handy to Lincoln sites.

This place absolutely lives up to its name. I’ve been here multiple times and am continuously impressed. It’s worth coming here for breakfast, lunch, or afternoon treat. Croissant breakfast sandwich? Delicious. Chicken salad? Delicious. Cake? Incredibly delicious. Their staff is super friendly and very attentive, always making sure I’m doing good and have a full glass of their *delicious* black currant iced tea. A place you simply *must* go to in Springfield!

It is a super place. The food is fresh, good and reasonably priced. I had the spinach/artichoke quiche. It was so very good. The multi-grain bread it came with, I ended up buying a loaf since it is so good for home.

Oh my, this places name nails it. This was a true highlight of my trip to Springfield and I will happily travel back just for this place. Everything is fresh, and you can tell the ingredients are high quality. I had a «simple» egg and cheese croissant, but the flavor proved anything but simple. You could tell the eggs were good eggs, the cheese was high quality cheese and the fresh baked croissant was buttery perfection. Iced tea was yummy too. My father had the sandwich with the bacon relish and he said it was literally the best breakfast sandwich he’s ever had. He raved about it all day long. Everything looked wonderful and I wanted to try it all. I’ll definitely be back to Springfield to try this place again.

This funky old house offers seating scattered around several rooms, and delightful baked goods, quiches and sandwiches. You order at a well-hidden counter toward the rear, and the wait can be quite long because of the odd way things are set up. But the wait is worth it, as you’ll discover when they bring your delicious croissant, cake, quiche or sandwich to your table. Everything is fresh and wonderful, and the service is friendly.

Cool place. Like visiting someone’s house. Got sandwiches(chicken salad) and dessert to go. Sandwiches were fresh and flavorful. Desserts were delicious. Service was friendly. Definitely recommend!

No clue why I never tried this place earlier. Probably because on their website the last time I checked they listed an array of quiches for breakfast and I am not a quiche fan. They have delicious parfaits, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, etc. The wait will be a long time unless you get something pre made but it’s delicious. I had the apricot croissant and it was delicious and had a vanilla bean cream in the middle(AND used real apricots). Awesome!

Terrific bread and amazing pastries at the best patisserie and boulangerie outside of Paris(France, not Illinois). Go hungry and buy bread to take home. Best macaroons ever(again, outside of Paris).

although not listed as a French restaurant their pastry and breads are 100% true French. real croisants and baggets are there. I have been all over and these are the best on the west side of the Atlantic

The food lives up to the name. Classic old house has been converted into a bakery and café with amazing pastries and sandwiches. The place is almost always busy, and some popular items sell out during the day, so for the best selection, arrive early. It feels like going to grandma’s house, that is if grandma is a top notch french pastry chef who also makes quiche and fancy sandwiches.

Had an egg and cheese croissant(awesome) and coffee(also awesome). Cool historic building with the entrance on the south side. Will definitely be back again.

Ask most anybody what food is worth trying in town and they’ll point you to Incredibly Delicious. They have enough fresh pastries here to compete with a french patisserie. The macarons are particularly good. The tablecloths are comically bad, but the house as a whole is really charming, creaky floors, cozy dining rooms and all.

People have said it here a million times, but this place is totally adorable. The food options arent a lot, but they are OK and everything seems quality. The location is really where this place shines. The old house is beautiful and it literally feels like you are in someones home. Who doesnt love a garden growing in a bathtub in the bathroom?

Fantastic! My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. The café/restaurant is in a big, beautiful old home. My husband had a slice of quiche and a side salad which he really enjoyed. I opted for the chicken salad sandwich(which came on a hearty wheat) and a cup of the pumpkin/apple/bacon soup. The chicken salad was very tasty(lightly curried, not too mayo-y) and the soup was creamy and a great mix of fall flavors. A solid, healthy lunch. Friendly service to boot. ONLY negative — the tablecloths are super ugly(I can get over it). But really… You come hear for that bakery case! Sweet heavens. We had a s’mores macaroon and a slice of the flourless chocolate cake, both of which we took to go. It’s probably for the best because after eating the macaroon I immediately wanted to go back and purchase 47 more. So. Good. The flourless cake was impeccable — rich(RICH) chocolate flavor, but it had almost a mousse-like consistency. We were so pleased with this place and would go out of our way to stop back in next time we’re in Springfield.

Come for the beautiful and authentic European baked goods. Sit in the garden, doesn’t feel like the rust belt at all!

I made a brief sortie into this place before closing. Sadly, much of what my fellow Unilocalers recommended was not available, but I did have a couple slices of berry tarts, one with an apricot glaze and another with a streusel crumble, and a few cookies. Everything was great.

A co-worker brought me to Incredibly Delicious today for lunch. The restaurant is in a beautiful old house in Springfield with a cool garden and lots of charm. I had the BEST quiche(bacon and artichoke) that I have ever had in my life — hands down! The side salad with balsamic was also great. I will definitely come back to see what new and amazing offerings they come up with. I hear that they are constantly changing their menu — definitely a gem in downtown! Update 7÷21÷14: I had the BEST croissant I have ever tasted from the Incredibly Delicious booth at the downtown farmer’s market this past Saturday. Incredibly Delicious is RIGHT!

This place is AMAZING, in everyway. First, I’m a very healthy eater and have been abroad over ten times. I must say this place competes with the best restaurants in Europe. We passed by looking for lunch, and we werent expecting such an amazing experience. You walk through a beautiful courtyard into a gorgeous Victorian house to order. The menu changes everyday and samples of bread are offered while in line. They were great handling my son’s deathly peanut and sesame allergies, and the food came out perfectly. The food and drinks were amazing, the house you ate in was more beautiful than the old capital building, and the atmosphere was so gentle and relaxing. I might come to Springfield from Chicago again just to come back to this great restaurant. It was THAT good.

We were driving to St. Louis and we wanted to stop for lunch, I of course hopped on Super Unilocal and found this place in our states capital a little ways off the highway. We got lunch that was tasty, nothing to die for but good solid café lunch. The place oozes charm and is an amazingly beautiful old mansion, that was worth the stop in itself. Well let me tell you why you should get off the highway and go: THEMACAROONS! These are the best macaroons that I have ever had. Just writing this is making me want to drive 4 hours to Sprinfield to get some. I have to tell you I have had some serious macaroon experience on the other side of the pond and I stand by this statement these were hands down undisputedly the best! So glad we stopped!

With a name like Incredibly Delicious, you had better deliver. Expectations are also raised by ID’s location, in a quaint old red brick house. Orders are placed at a counter displaying a tempting array of baked desserts. I opted for a mixed berry tart( ) along with my portabella & goat cheese baguette( ). Tables are arranged in various rooms of the house, even the halls. Waiting for your meal provides ample time to admire the interesting decorations and the architectural features. I was particularly fascinated by the gargoyle sconces. Verdict on the food: the portabella & goat cheese baguette was indeed incredibly delicious; the mixed berry tart, not so much. To me, the tart tasted fairly average. «Incredibly Delicious Portabella & Goat Cheese Baguettes and Fairly Average Mixed Berry Tarts» was probably too long a name to fit on the quaint sign hanging in front of this quaint restaurant.
