I’m not a sushi expert, but their yum yum roll is the best I’ve ever had. Their hibachi isn’t my favorite, especially compared to the places where they cook it in front of you. Edamame is good, and you can eat pretty cheap here, but (be careful) they also have some pretty expensive rolls that might surprise you. Good place to bring families. Service is hit or miss, but I’ve had more good experiences than bad. They’re always nice to my kids!

Awesome lunch specials. We get the two or three roll special almost every weekend. A nice change to be able to get sushi in Springfield. (not the best sushi I’ve ever had but pretty darn good for a small southern town)

Wow, always going to rivergate for Japanese and sushi. This takes the cake, good service and very accommodating. The food was perfect, they even make spicy rice, my favorite! Many rolls to choose from and Sashimi (sp?) A dead give away of a clean restaurant, the bathroom was NOT scary! That makes me feel confident my food was prepared in a clean environment and that’s extremely important to me! Try it, you’ll LOVE it!

Hibachi dishes: Great… I like that much sweet taste. General taste of hibachi in other japanese restaurant tend to be too sweet but this restaurant is perfect for korean taste.
Sushi: good
Side dishes: good and fresh
There are many tables over 15.
Waitress is so kind.

I’ve been to this place 3 times in the last 2 months and my husband and I love it!!! First off, service is great! I feel like everyone is welcoming and consistent with checking on guests often, but not too often. The wait for food has never been long, portion sizes are great, and sushi always tastes fresh! I love that I can take my two toddlers here and not wait forever for food! Even better, the setting of the restaurant is sophisticated but not fancy, and family friendly at the same time– one of the cleanest locally owned restaurants I’ve been to in awhile! As someone who has lived most of their life in the west coast, I was skeptical of trying Asian cuisine here in Tennessee, but I have yet to be disappointed!

It is so nice to have decent sushi in Springfield. The fish is fresh and the specials are tasty. What’s more, the lunch specials are a very good value. I plan on eating here often. The staff is friendly, but not very knowledgeable about the sushi. But then again, this is a country town.
Most 8-​piece sushi rolls are $ 4 to $ 5, with special rolls weighing in at $ 8 to $ 9.
