Needed some XLR cables in a pinch, they had a good assortment. Very friendly and helpful staff. They were a few minutes late unlocking their doors while a few of us stood in the rain (we walked), but besides that you’ll certainly enjoy your shopping experience.

This store is ok if you are looking for a cheap ukulele or some sheet music. Their selection of guitars and amps is all off brand Chinese imports, there are no drums at all. They only rent band instruments to you if you have perfect credit and the it will be an old, used piece. I would recommend avoiding this place and try theistic store just south of battlefield mall.

The best thing about Hoover Music is the quantity of sheet music and music books they offer — no other music store in Springfield can compete with their selection. As a private music instructor, I highly appreciate the varied and wide selection of music that I can peruse before I make a purchase. Susie works closely with area music instructors to ensure they have the needed materials for their studios, whether it be books or accessories (like metronomes!). That gives me the assurance I need to send a student or parent to Hoover’s and know they will have in stock what is needed.
