Also realize that Harmony Farm Market is seasonally closed! They open sometime in April and close by the first week of November!

If you haven’t made a quick stop off I-70 at the Rt. 40/Springfield exit and ventured just a short distance west into«¼ horse town» Harmony, OH to check out this great farmer’s market, you’re really missing out! Lots of fresh, local produce, great annual, perennial and ornamental plants, and tons of country knickknacks /antiques /local jams, jellies, preserves, snacks, etc inside! Not the most convenient hours for us «working stiffs,»(they close at 6pm) but it’s a «must see» for anyone coming from/going to the«Heart of Ohio» Antique mecca just across the street, or anyone needing a «taste of country.» Lots of hidden treasures, even if you’re not into country«kitsch,»(which I confess I’m not…) The seasonal fruits, veggies and plants alone are enough to definitely inspire HARMONY in even the toughest city slicker’s heart!!! ENJOY!!!

When we moved back to Ohio from Tennessee, I encouraged my wife to check out the local small businesses. This was one of the first that I insisted she visit. Mo and Darwin have a great place here. If you’re ever driving around the south edge of Catawba look for their fields. That’s homegrown!

They have the best sweet corn! I stop here every week and buy our fresh produce. Delicious sweet corn, tomatoes, squash, melon and a huge variety of pumpkins in the fall for the kids to pick from! They also have a big variety of mulch, which they willingly help load in to your truck. The girls are always helpful, and the family that owns it couldn’t be better! Worth a stop for sure :)

Just off of I-70 on Route 40 into Springfield sits a little village called Harmony. I’m not making this up guys. It is pretty harmonious if you will. As you come into Harmony, there’s a small farmers market on your right. It’s a typical market selling corn, tomatos, onions, cabbage, preserves, honey etc. Stuff is priced about average ie a little higher than a grocery store but with the stuff being fresh. One cool thing were the locally made preserves and specialty mustards. I bought both, can’t wait to try. There is a substantial gift shop area there. If you like country or OSU Buckeye stuff, you’ll be in heaven. Again prices were decent from what I saw. Worth a quick stop and look see if you are in the area.

Excellent local home grown produce. We bought tomatoes, cabbage, corn and a melon. I ate the tomato like an apple. We grilled the corn and it was sweet, sweet, sweet. Butter was not needed. The best was the melon. So juicy and sweet. There is a gift shop which has a nice selection jarred jellies/jams, folk art and Ohio State memorabilia. There is something for everyone.
