Godfather’s Pizza

Haven’t been to a Godfather’s in a long time so thought would stop by. Most all empty tables are filthy and cluttered with dirty dishes. Buffet void of pizza, people standing waiting for 15 plus min. I will not be returning. I expect more from a $ 9 lunch buffet. How is this place still open?

We hadn’t been to Godfathers for several years. This morning we heard on the news where the owner of Godfathers was complaining about the food trucks parking near his businesses and he believed they were taking away from his business. Since we hadn’t been to Godfathers for a while and we noticed they had a lunch buffet we decided to stop in and support a business. Godfathers use to have great deep pizza so we were glad to be reminded of the place and stop in.
We arrived about 12:50 pm. The girl at the register and a female waitress greeted us with a smile and cheerful attitude. They were both very nice and friendly. That is the best we can say about our visit. It went downhill quickly.
There were 2 people sitting at the high top counter. In the main seating there were 3 tables taken (2, 2, and 1 people). Every empty table was dirty. The dishes had been removed but every table was covered with left over food crumbs. The attached picture is what every table looked like. We picked the «cleanest» of the dirty and wiped it clean ourselves. We stayed about 45 minutes and it wasn’t until we were leaving did they clean the tables. While we were there no one else came in. When we left there was no one else at any table. –0 stars for cleanliness. The place was a mess.
The food was just OK. Definitely not great pizza, barely making our OK scale. It was edible which is the highest compliment we can give. It’s not a pizza you want a lot of. Food quality a 1 star.
Before leaving I went to the restroom. It stunk. It wasn’t a urine smell exactly. It was just that dirty old bathroom smell of one that hasn’t had a good disinfected cleaning. Like it had been only mopped for weeks with the same old mop water and no cleaner. Had I gone in the bathroom when we first arrived we would have immediately left. If the restrooms were that bad just what do the kitchens look like. Since we ate there I don’t want to think about it and I don’t want to know.
So we discussed the owners complaint about the food trucks taking their business. Sorry. If your business is suffering it’s because your place was dirty. Worse than dirty. Don’t complain about the roach coaches taking your business. They look cleaner than what we saw at this place. They aren’t taking your business. You’re running off business by having a dirty place and lackluster cleaning.
Not only will we not return we’re telling friends of what we saw.
Others don’t take business from you. Your place doesn’t make anyone want to return.
