I bought new tires here and had an oil change 2 weeks ago. My vehicle is 4 years old. I just discovered that my car has been continuously leaking oil since then. The oil seemed dirty. I called them and was told that it could be any type of fluid and they could take care of it «within a few hours». Where there’s smoke, there’s fire so I took it to the Toyota dealership. The oil was a little dirty and the drain plug was not even hand tightened underneath. I called back and was not offered a refund. They offered a free oil change and that is the last thing I wanted from them.

If you live in the district and need a tire, don’t be tempted by all the tire places around the Benning Road area as they will rip you off with outrageous prices even for crappy used tires. At Firestone I literally paid half the price of the crappy tire places in DC. Recently, I stopped in for a new tire without an appointment and they had it done within an hour. I’ve been going here for years and they are highly professional, efficient, and friendly. They’ll tell you that there will be a long wait but just be cool with them and you may be surprised. If you have to wait, just take a load off at the Springfield mall next door for a couple hours.

So I dropped of my car at 8am with a donut tire cus my original tire got 3 inch hole in it. I told them I need it by 1pm so I could go to work. I also said that the tire need to be replaced and that I have the road hazard warranty and they said no problem and we have the tire in stock. I got there at 1pm and the car wasn’t even looked at and guess what the tech told me? «Oh the tire can’t be fixed so it has to be replaced because there is a big hole in it!!!» No sh! t the tire can’t be fixed. It took him 5 hours to tell me that a tire can’t be fixed when I clearly said that it needs new tire. So I waited another 20 mins to get that tire put on the rim and they also didn’t do the regular check up. They said that I was in a hurry to go to work and they wanted to get me out of the place early!!!

Went in there with a Giant coupon for 20 dollar tire rotation amd FREE oil change. Lola, the front end service advisor, didnt put it im the free tire rotation service report to make it easier on the technician. After waiting 2 hours on my car when they said itd be ready by then, the keys were given back and i was gonna leave until i noticed the tires werent rotated. Guess thats how she decided to do business because they dont want to do the cheap labor. i was also hassled over and over again by Lola about firestone credit cards and fuel treatment that was over priced which i declined 5 TIMES. I made them do the tire roatation after she tried to sly by without the extra free labor. watch out for her and the others with this cheap coupon. Just decline all their dumb recommendations that try to make money on the cheap And not do the work necessary.
Also, every time i go in the technicians tell me i should get an expensive thing done thats not needed or was already changed recently. they get commision on what they do so they always recommend an easy fix at a high price thats not needed. last time they told me they wanted to change the sparkplugs because it was high miles at a cost of 250 dollars when i changed them 5 months ago for a cost of 20 bux and half hour. Ofcourse my car is high mileage, its an 02. So am i supposed to replace everything evrrytime i go for an oil change?
Watch out for this shady business.

I have an appt and its still taking over 2 hrs for an $ 80 oil change. This is unacceptable! :-/

Many mechanics don’t provide friendly service but this location was superior to experiences Ive had in the past. I will certainly be returning for repair and maintenance needs!

This place totally hooked me up with a great deal on lifetime alignment (much less than merchants), and the people are really nice (they don’t try to sell you unnecessary crap) and honest (which is the most important thing when it comes to auto service stations these days)

This is a very clean and friendly place. The guys are so cool, easy to talk and take time and explain what is going on with your car. I recommend this place to anyone who want their car to be fixed, oil change, whatever…

They left my car radio dead. I dropped off my car to get the battery and alternator replaced and they returned it to me with a dead radio and did non warn me about it. I had to call them to find out how to fix it and they gave me ill-​advised instructions to find the code in an owners manual. Nissan does not use a code so this was incorrect and left me baffled again. Thanks for the tip… not.

I dropped my car off here at 8:00 AM for an alignment and within a hour I received a call that my car was done. The showroom was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. I’ll take my car here again.

Firestone exemplifies true customer service. They have always been friendly when I’ve dropped off my car and picked it up. I’ve never felt as if I was being ripped off to purchase additional services and equipment. If in doubt, they directly provide you clarification and demonstrate potential hazards along with an estimate. The repairs are completed on time as promised.
Take advantage of the lifetime alignment if you plan on keeping your car for awhile as two alignments will pay for the lifetime alignment. Also, pay the extra $ 5 to $ 10 on the tire hazard warranty. Its especially helpful if you go over potholes every winter and find yourself replacing tires like underwear.
Lastly, don’t stray away from the front of the cashier when checking out to pay. I overheard some customers arguing over someone cutting in line to pay and pickup their car.

This is my family’s go-​to mechanic. We started going to the Springfield Firestone when we lived nearby, but now we pass many other mechanics on our drive down, because we trust them. Their prices are great, they’re professional, and we trust that they will not only not rip us off, but will provide great service. Highly recommend them!

I scheduled an appointment on the Firestone website for a wheel alignment at noon on a Monday at this location and went there on time to drop off my car. As soon as I told the salesman that I had an appointment, I could tell his face and mannerism saying, «We’re too busy to take anyone right now.» Basically he told me since I have an appt it’ll take an hour or two. I wander around the mall for an hour and came back to check the status of my car. It was still sitting in the parking lot. I asked about it and the salesman told me I’m next. I left and went to the Honda dealership to have it done. The appointment was useless and a waste of time. Someone should teach them the concept of opportunity cost!
