Epicures’choice Smoke Shop

Small store but a great selection! I walked in 10 minutes before close like a punk (this is something that I hate doing) and the gentleman working was courteous and willing to help with anything I needed. They have a big variety of cigars and pipe tobacco by the ounce. You won’t find another store like this in Springfield!

Seeing as it’s the only tobacco shop in Springfield that actually sells good pipe tobacco, I’m pretty happy. Fairly cheap prices $ 2-​$ 4 per ounce of tobacco with some house blends. The few times I’ve gotten cigars they’ve been pretty dry. I’d recommend Epicures for pipe tobacco, possibly a new pipe and other pipe equipment but not the cigars necessarily. I’m not sure about cigarette selection or prices. Beware there is a credit card fee unless you buy more than $ 10 worth of smokes.

If you are looking to buy smokes or cigars in the downtown historic district of Springfield, I am mortified to say that Epicures is the only place in town. You will seriously have a difficult time finding anywhere in the downtown area to purchase tobacco. This place keep erratic hours, and is only open at what seems to be the pleasure of its owners. The tobacco shop is located on the corner of «lost and no where» visible only by the darkened neon signs. Walk through the glass front door and you are hit with a cloud of dirty smoke. There are several glass coffin cases of cigar products. Cigarettes are not readily on the counter, so you will need to ask for a pack or carton. We also found that employees were nice, and served us while smoking. While the place is dirty, it’s probably your best bet if you are looking to buy some smokes. Make sure to call ahead to check if they are open.
