Dunham’s Martial Arts

My son has learned so much. He had more confidence starting kindergarten and continues to improve his coordination & balance. Now that he just started second grade, he’s really starting to work not only on the more advanced skills, he’s learning so much more about discipline, team work, a healthy lifestyle, and the importance of living your best life. All instructors are great with the kids. Highly recommended!

As a public school educator with over 30 years experience I marvel at Mr Dunham’s behavioral control during the lesson. His directions are clear and concise and his objective is known by the children. I have had the opportunity to watch my soon to be 5 year old grandson blossom in his class. The little guy knows he need to focus on his eyes, ears, mind, and body! He practices daily and delights in the positive reinforcement Mr. Dunham gives him. The children are treated with respect and he commands it in return with his, «Yes, Sir’s». Any child would benefit from this type of instruction… I highly recommend!

Chris Dunham is extremely knowledgable, funny, easy to relate to, and customizes the lesson to your goals. My confidence in the possibility of being able to defend myself increased as my first lesson wrapped up. I learned several basic, but strong, moves that left me feeling that I have the potential to tap into a power that I had not thought existed within myself. Chris, thank you for walking me through that first lesson with professionalism, respect, encouragment, and a belief that I can do this.

I wanted to share the positive impact that Dunham’s Martial Arts has had on me and my family. I previously trained for a year under Mr. Dunham. I had always been interested in martial arts and finally decided to try it since my friend had been going and enjoyed it. I made it to my purple belt in that year, but ended up getting a job as a principal and unfortunately had to take a break from martial arts to concentrate on that.
I did have the opportunity to involve my school with Mr. Dunham’s training during a summer program. Mr. Dunham did a great job of working with the families in the area by offering free training. I heard many positive reviews regarding his work with the students and families that participated.
More recently, my 5 year old son began going to Dunham’s Martial Arts. At home, my son was jumping around acting like a ninja and loved watching Lego Ninjago. So, I remembered what a great job Mr. Dunham did with the younger students when I was training and decided to check out his new center. Since starting at Dunham’s Martial Arts my son has really improved his balance and confidence as he has trained. It was a great decision to take him there. It has transferred to every day life as well. He still jumps around like a ninja, but now he practices what he learned in class.
