Good chilli, plus hot dogs and a small assortment of other food. There’s a small dining area though, so if you go at lunchtime, you might have to make your order to-go.

Excellent chilli. Something about it separates it from any other I’ve had. Greesy but in a good way. Not spicy enough(for me at least) but that can easily be adjusted for each person with hot sauce. Why the 4⁄5 stars? The price. Small cup of chilli is $ 5(after tax) and will hardly put a dent in your stomach. Other than that, it’s worth going to if you’ve never been before.

Best Chili in town. I’ve eaten it year round — 45 degrees in March, 102 in July — It’s Dew time.

We happened to look up while filling the gas tank and found Dews down the street. Chili and hot dogs were great. Simple fare but good. Great institution for Springfield. Need to try the pie next time.

I heard Angelos in Taylorville had the best chili. I heard Joe Rogers chili was the best. Until they went out of business I personally thought Millie’s Chili was the best. Today I tried this chili from Dew Chilli parlor and I think it’s better than Angelos, better than Joe Roger’s chili and maybe, just maybe, even better than Millie’s. That’s saying a lot! So, yes, I believe, for Springfield Illinois, Dew has the best chilli in town.

Pretty Good Chilli. A less oily(and less spicy) alternative to Joe Rogers’, which is just a few blocks away. I ordered a small chilli and got a laughably small portion. I wouldn’t take issue with this fact if it had been cheaper, but my total was $ 5.15. Not a great value for a small bowl of chilli. But the taste was on point. Very rich, complex flavor. I would like it if they had more spicy chilli options like Joe Rodgers, though. I added quite a bit of Tobasco and quite a bit of Cayenne pepper to my bowl. The joint was cool. It’s a small hole in the wall place and it gives off an old-time vibe. If it gives some spicier options and makes a small bowl of chilli reasonably priced, I think it will give incumbent, Joe Rodgers, a run for its money.

The Dew has the best Chilli in town. It tastes so good with the tamales. I highly reccomend everyone try the torpedo and triple threat. They’re great!

Smaller chili parlor than Joe Rodgers. Chili is thicker and meatier. Chicago dog — eh. Not a poppy seed bun. Dog wasn’t kosher and no snap to the casing. The interior is clean somewhat upscale and nice. Bar stools too low for the counter in my opinion. The tamale pie was good. Everything is served in styrofoam however so it walked a line between take out and sit down. A couple decent beers were offered by the bottle. For Springfield four stars.
