Always play here when visiting Springfield. Old school tree lined course. The greens are tough to read in that they do not break as much as it looks. 2 of us played in under 31⁄2 hours. The price was a good bargain that included a cart. Look forward to next time.

I’ve played here maybe twice per year for about ten years now. Pros: –Cheap. I recently paid $ 25 to walk on a weekend morning. –Walking allowed and it’s easy to walk, no long green-tee walks. –Not very crowded, especially Sunday mornings when the locals are in church. Accordingly, pace is usually quick. –Greens and aprons/fringes are in great condition. Bunkers are fair. Cons: –Fairways are in spotty condition, lots of weeds, bare patches, random tufts of grass in bare areas, etc. Whatever chemicals and/or seed they use on the last 30 – 40 yards going into the greens, they don’t use on the rest of the fairway. –Tees aren’t much better, but who cares, you are teeing it up anyway.
