Alen’s Deli and Catering

Oh how I want to give a perfect 5 stars but there was one issue. I ordered the ravioli in mushroom cream sauce and they used a styrofoam clamshell instead of a sealable aluminum tray. Half of the sauce ended up in my bag, coating the utensils and everything else in it. Thank God the sauce didn’t drip onto my light tan interior.
Back to the positives. The mushroom sauce on my ravioli was delicious and creamy. It was a tad bit on the salty side for me, but still absolutely delicious. We also ordered a chicken sandwich and an Italian. It was a bit strange to find turkey on an Italian sub, but the person eating it said it was a great sandwich. We also had a bagel and it was a true Brooklyn style bagel (crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside). Overall, a place that I will be returning to

I’m so glad to have such a great place so close to my office. I love everything I’ve ordered. My favorites are the 3 egg platter for breakfast, the Jersey Devil sandwich (soooo good) and the grilled chicken caesar salad. The food is fantastic! Alen has such a great personality which makes his Deli such a pleasure to order from! I highly recommend this place, you won’t be sorry! :)

I ordered half soup half sandwich. The lentil soup was amazing as was the corned beef Reuben panini i devoured. Five stars are well-​deserved!

I just had a Reuben sandwhich, it was delivered to my home nice and hot and it was so good that my sister called and ordered one ! Deeeelish!!! Great price!

Finally found some amazing food in Springfield! We had Alen’s delivered this past Friday night when we were way too exhausted to cook. They have a good selection on their menu and I ordered the White Russian Panini and my husband got Briana’s Delight Panini and their chicken noodle soup.
Our food arrived probably 15 minutes after we ordered– super fast! I don’t have pictures to share because it looked so good we had to dig in immediately. Both of our paninis were loaded and not just with filler shredded lettuce/​tomato. The soup arrived hot and perfectly seasoned, not like a lot of the crazy bland options that are local. We couldn’t believe that this gem is right around the corner from us and we never knew!
Do yourself a favor and get Alen’s for lunch or dinner. We ordered only 2 days ago but are craving it again :)

Fresh off the plane and ready for a good old fashioned deli sandwich for breakfast! I was not disappointed with a new take on an old favorite :) the pastrami egg cheese and potato pancake sandwich was unbeatable! What made it even better was the friendly owner we talked with…

Me and my wife went for the first time. She had a grilled chicken cutlet wrap, it was awesome I had the corned beef it melted in your mouth. This place is the real deal the staff is awesome highly recommended.

so so good! i tried their fries, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and grilled cheese. everything was delicious! family enjoyed some of these things as well. my mom loved her pancakes!

Alen’s is a wonderful, new deli! The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly and we love that they have high chairs. Try the Smoky Joe.

I visited this deli several times in the last couple months and I enjoyed everything so far. I took a small group of friends who were visiting from San Francisco and they all enjoyed their meals. I had stuffed cabbage and a soup the last time I went and both were spot on. My grandmother and mother in law both makes real authentic stuffed cabbage and I thought that it was good at this establishment. That says something. Anywho I have also had a few sandwiches like corned beef and a turkey burger from here and I enjoyed those as well. I also had rugelech from here and brought them to a party I went to. Overall I would say that it’s worth trying and I will go again.

Top of the line! This place will make you overeat but you’ll be happy doing it. I ordered #3 on their Grilled Panini menu, the «Heart Stopper” — super juicy and tender pastrami and brisket, a perfect potato pancake, and coleslaw topped with Russian dressing on flat bread (top and bottom). It came with ridged potato chips and a sour pickle with a slight, delicious funky taste. The potato pancake’s fried texture and rich potato goodness really pushed this panini over the top. It arrived in four pieces and I planned to eat just one but ended up having two and look forward to having the rest tomorrow. It was that good. My hubby had #9, «The Wrecker” — corned beef, pastrami, Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Russian dressing on rye. I heard it calling my name and had to take a bite. The meats were very tender without any stringiness. The entire combo was heaven! For dessert, we had some chocolate Italian Florentine/​lace cookies. Same story. I thought I would have just one, but ended up having three. This deli is a true Springfield treasure.
