This is a great hardware store. The paint department is phenomenal. It’s so much easier to get your paint here than at Lowes where it’s just a mess. The rest of the store is also great with tons of fancy kitchen stuff, and of course, hardware. The staff is super nice and very helpful as well.

Took a detour on our way back from St. Louis and stopped in here to look for a lawnmower part my BF had been looking for and hadn’t been able to find in Chicago. Well guess what? not only did he find the part, but we ended up just taking our time walking around this really big Ace Hardware store! I know, it’s just a hardware store — yes, and no. Most Ace Stores I know, are pretty small and carry a very limited selection of items — this one was really big and carried a crazy variety of items — including some really cool fountains, garden patio furniture and I feel in love with this HUMONGOUS artificial rose. I mean HUGE! They also had a large selection of bird houses. Sounds weird right? but I don’t think I remember ever having a fun time at our local Home Depot, Menards, etc., like I did here.
Now that we know where to find it, I think we may venture here during another one of our St. Louis trips — if for nothing else, to get that HUGE flower…
