Ordered lamb kebab, falafel and hummus… delivery was prompt and food was on point! Will definitely repeat, highly recommended.

My husband and I placed an order for delivery tonight. We ordered hummus and falafel as appetizers, the shawarma platter, the kefta kebab platter, and a tabouleh salad. We were told delivery would take 20 to 25 minutes. Our food arrived hot, fresh, and delicious in 15 minutes. The hummus is fluffy and perfect. The falafel served with the tahini sauce satisfied my falafel craving. We liked the kebab slightly better than the schwarma but both came with fluffy yellow rice and a fresh side salad of tomato and cucumber with parsley and a fresh lemon dressing. The white garlic sauce that comes with the platters is delicious. This was also an excellent value for the price given the quality and quantity for the items. The woman who took the order over the phone and the man who delivered the order were polite and courteous. This restaurant is a great addition to Springfield’s downtown and just one more reason we are glad we live here.

The best middle-eastern take-out we’ve had in the area. Kebabs were juicy and tender and the falafel was actually delicious — not dried out and tasteless. They also serve the kebabs with a knock-your-socks off fresh garlic dip, which was interesting in good way. They deliver to Maplewood as long as you’re under 10 min away. The falafel arrived hot and crisp, which was a pleasant surprise.

Delicious fresh healthy… We had a shawarma platter and a chicken platter for lunch. Big portions. The space is simple but the food and tastes are not. A new place to eat for us. We will return.

This place is only about 10 minutes away from the Mall at Short Hills so it’s a great place to stop by after a long day of shopping. Although the restaurant seems more used to take-out dining, they do offer a few tables in the store for dining in. While we dined in, unfortunately there was a terrible customer sitting close by who apparently never learned«volume control» in elementary school. I hope they kick her out if she ever returns. Anyway, getting back to the point: The food tastes great! The fresh hummus appetizer($ 5) is a nice little starter and comes with a good helping of pita. Both the chicken shawarma($ 12) and beef shawarma($ 12) platters come with a simple but tasty salad and yellow rice. I ended up liking the chicken shawarma platter slightly more than the beef one but both meats were flavorful and juicy. The chicken shawarma comes with a garlicky white sauce that I’ve never tried before. It complemented the chicken, which was flavored well with an addicting blend of spices. Portions were plenty and service was friendly. Local places like this are always the best.

I have been here twice. Once it was totally amazing and the other time it was just OK. I really enjoyed the hummus but the falafel was meh the second time. This location has housed many a failed restaurant, but I hope that this place stays in business. It is nice to know that we have an option when the craving for falafel hits. Across the street is a cupcake place!

Their falafels, hummus and zalook were very tasty and spicy(medium heat), with huge portions! The waitress was very attentive and the atmosphere was quiet and friendly. The baklava was good, just a little more moist than I had hoped.

My family came here craving falafel the other day. We are excited to see more international food move into the area after a disappointing slew of mediocre burger and frozen yogurt shops! Glad that trend has ended! Anyhow. The place is appropriately adorned for the area like most Mediterranean places. The required flatscreen TV on the wall showing videos ringing out popular rhythms of the culture. Very pleasant to listen to, not very loud. The place is clean and unassuming. Regular tables, about 10 that can seat up to 4 – 6 people. We were greeted nicely and given a table with menus. The service was good and the food was delicious. We ordered falafel sandwiches, the Shepard salad, the hummus plate and a side of rice for our daughter. Food took a while to prepare, but it was presented adequately and hot. I really liked the hummus plate, drizzled with good olive oil, sprinkled with sliced scallion, served with hot pita slices. The salad was refreshing and perfect. The sandwiches were spot on, rice was neutral not spicy so good for my 4 year old. We really enjoyed the food! I noticed kufta on the menu and we will be back to try more!

Excellent food from the heart of morocco. The staff are extremely friendly, the atmosphere is just lovely. Plenty of parking space in the back of the restaurant. Try the salad & green tea. Must try for all.

Falafels were tasteless and slightly over cooked. The chicken platter was decent, but the beef was dry and super chewy.

My review is for their baklava, picked up to go and it was very good! No complaints! They come in small pieces, I ate 8 in one day, couldn’t stop eating them.

Their lentil soup taste like absolutely nothing. I have had lentil soup before many times and this is the worst one yet. Also I got the shawarma sandwich and they wrap it in a thin pita bread which fell apart after I took the first bite. Then I find a raw piece of meet, it’s not cooked all the way through. So disgusting!

What a great addition to the area. I had the chicken kebab platter and it was a very good value. It started with a very fresh bright salad. Then it was followed by a platter of chicken kebab over rice. The chicken kebab was cooked perfectly however it lacked a bit of seasoning. The rice definitely could’ve used him salt. On the whole it was a very good value and I will return to this wonderful establishment.

INCREDIBLYAUTHENTICFOOD in this small place. Hummus and Babaghanoush appetizer plates on steroids although I preferred the Hummus. Felafel is very tasty; one of the best I’ve had in NJ. but some of them were spicy hot and others not. Because of the heat, I didn’t finish it. Additionally, one of ours was filled with Mediterranean salad/Israeli Salad and the other just had sliced tomatoes, and lots of parsley but no Mediterranen salad. Beef Shawarma sandwich was overly inundated with vegetables and not enough meat Lamb Kabob sandwich was really good but over-seasoned. Baklava was tasty but overly sweet. Bottom line is they have good ingredients but the inconsistency makes me apprehensive to go back.

What a great family owned restaurant when you’re feening for some carbs and protein with tahini! We stopped by around 10pm on a weeknight and we were so grateful they were open late. As recently displaced New Yorkers, we were used to late meals starting around 8pm, which meant most place in our new neighborhood were already closed or beginning to close up for the night. We ordered two shwarma entrees and a falafel. Everything was fantastic and we were quite happy with the portion sizes for the price! Everyone was also very nice and seemed very eager to have us back. We definitely will be frequenting this joint quite often!

The food was authentic and tasted great, the owner served us and kept bringing dish after dish that was better than the last. We have ordered take out too and that was delicious as well Highly recommend this restaurant. Not the best décor but definitely the friendliest, tastiest Moroccan food.

I’ve had this place bookmarked since they first opened but today was the only chance I had to stop by. The restaurant/eatery itself is near the corner of Morris and Mountain – if you pass McLynn’s, you went too far. Look for Tokyo Hibachi’s red awning; Moroccan Kebab and Falafel is three establishments down. As for parking, there’s an entrance to the rear parking lot between McLynn’s and a barbershop. Hommus/Hummus($ 5): I was actually supposed to order Zalook, which is a Moroccan eggplant and garlic salad. However, the cashier told me that it was unavailable, so I went with Hommus instead. Each order comes with whole batbout/pita bread(one sliced into quarters). The texture was very smooth and creamy. There are a handful of whole chickpeas on top with a drizzle of oil. I was hoping it would have a stronger garlic profile, but either way, it was tasty and enjoyable. Moroccan Mix($ 18): This is exactly what I look for when I want to eat kebabs – different meats, rice, and a side or two. Listed as a platter, the Moroccan Mix comes with lamb kebab, kefta, chicken kebab, a Turkish salad/chlada(«choban»), a grilled onion, and a grilled tomato over soft and puffy yellow rice. You also get a good serving of Toum(literally means«garlic» in Arabic, but it’s commonly interpreted as a strong garlicky paste). Each type of meat was seasoned well with their blend of spices. The chicken kebabs and the lamb, in particular, were the most flavorful. Taste wise, kefta reminds me of Armenian lula or Persian kofte. It was juicy, tender, and not overly-seasoned. The shawarma was alright – I’ve had better, but I still enjoyed it; it was tender, seasoned well, and not too dry. Like another Unilocaler, I love the yellow rice that comes with the platters – Florence C.‘s description is spot on! The Toum garlic paste was interesting – the sourness from the lemon juice will«surprise» your taste buds at first, but the more you eat it, the more the strong garlicky flavor kicks in. The Turkish salad was pretty standard – fresh vegetables and a tangy vinaigrette. Overall, I could see myself coming back here. Prices were fair and the portions should fill you up. There are roughly eight tables inside, so take-out is your best option if it gets full around lunch time.

I have ordered food from this location two times. Both times were a good experience and I enjoyed the food. First trip I tried eggplant /tahini dip and tabouli salad. The I had to wait a couple extra minutes because they forgot to prep my order, they were friendly and it was no big deal. Second trip I ordered beef Shawarma for my spouse and beef kebab for myself with an appetizer called Zalook. Everything we ate was excellent! If you are down with garlic, try the Zalook. It was lovely. I loved it. Also the lady up front remembered me from my previous visit, it was good costumer service. One last detail, the portions were decent. In conclusion, this establishment is a worthwhile place to eat.

Super fresh flavors. Very friendly staff. I’m so thankful this place is so close to home. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted and handed a menu. I was so excited that I went a little nuts and ordered 6 different things. They were kind enough to give me a complimentary Spinach Pie which doesn’t appear on their menu, but should– with warm soft pastry outside and slightly spicy spinach and other yummy veggie-based ingredients on the inside. I would go back just for this. I ordered take out of Hummus, Mediterranean Salad, Tabouleh, Falafel, Mix Beef & Chicken Shawarma platter, and a Mixed Platter of Baklava. The Hummus was well-balanced and well-textured and lightly seasoned with paprika, garlic, and lemon while the Mediterranean Salad tasted completely freshy-fresh with a mix of tomatoes, onions, cucumber, olives, feta, and parsley with a lemon-olive oil dressing. The Tabouleh with bulgur, parsley, tomatoes, mint, onions, and a similar dressing equally impressed. With a crunchy outside and soft inside, the non-greasy Falafel really wowed me. The dish came with 6 pieces and an uplifting tahini-based dipping sauce. As for the Mix Beef & Chicken Shawarma platter, I have to mention the fluffy, slightly buttery yellow rice– holy deliciousness! That’s a major compliment from this rice addict. The chicken and beef shawarma were tender, seasoned nicely, and really tasty. The dish came with nicely thin pita, a juicy, grilled tomato, and sweet onion. For dessert, I had some pretty good Baklava and I literally just handled it. I’m thinking about my next order already.

Moroccan Kebab & Falafel would be my new go-to spot if I was from around here. I would most likely go so often that they know my order. First, I asked for a recommendation and I was given a small plate of things to try because they said everything was good. After my tasting plate, I believe that statement. Then I ordered the Moroccan Mix. Whatever that garlic sauce is… just put it on everything and embrace your smelly garlic breath after your meal… it is totally worth it. The chicken and lamb were tasty and so was the rice.(Ahhh I can’t wait to eat my leftovers today for lunch!) On my little tasting plate my favorites were the falafel, hummus, garlic sauce(of course), and this other side salad type thing. When I asked what it was they said it wasn’t on the menu to order so I am assuming it comes with a specific dish. It wasn’t the eggplant mix or the baba ganoush, which were good, but they were definitely put in the dark next to the other four items. Def make this your go-to lunch or dinner spot.
