I bought a brand new home that had an undersized unit with a poorly designed duct system that did not get enough heat to the rooms at the ends of the lines and it roared as loud as a dinosaur. After previous contact with the original installer, I decided to call Paschal. Paschal gave me a fair estimation of what I had(undersized builder grade unit — not a bad brand, just not the right unit for my application) which due to its age and function would be wasteful to replace today. We put together a strategy to fix the noise and cold room issues I had and what approach we could take down the road when the builder grade unit goes belly up. The installation was painless. They were neat didn’t leave me a big mess. Most importantly the system doesn’t wake me up at night anymore and my cold rooms aren’t cold anymore. I’ll call Paschal again for all my HVAC needs.

I first learned about Paschal Heating, Air and Geothermal when they installed a full multi zone system in the office where I work. They were very professional and the results were outstanding. This year, when the time came to replace the system in my house, I knew who to call. From the first consultation visit, through the selection process, the install and city inspection process, the Paschal team was the model of what a HVAC service company should be. My system has been in service for about a month now, and as strange as it seems, my wife and I are actually sleeping better. The A/C never wakes us up throwing off or grasping for blankets as the old one did when it cycled on and off through the night. Neither does the new unit wake us up with the loud whine of the compressor outside our bedroom window. 100% satisfied — I would .and do. recommend them to my friends.

I am extremely impressed with Paschals. We had to have 2AC units replaced in our home. They are knowledgeable, have high work ethic and integrity. Great to work with and when the city inspector came to inspect their work, he said, «Those boys do such good work. I’ve never had a problem with their installs. Even if there’s a new city code, they’re on top of it.»

I have a home in Fayetteville that my daughters live in while in college. I live a couple hours away. I had them come out fix a/c unit. The diagnosis was bleak, with an estimate of $ 800-$ 1000, and was told it was a waste of money to patch together & I should really have system replaced for $ 8K I paid them their $ 79 + tax(is their tax on service in AR) & told them I would find someone cheaper to do repair. Turns out all the system needed was a new breaker & condenser fan motor. At a cost less than $ 200 Im not sure if they overcharge everyone this much or just folks that are out of town.

First of all… like other reviewers, I thought the technician was professional and courteous. No complaints there whatsoever. Not to mention, he was at my house within an hour of me calling them. So, very prompt service. Working towards a 5-star review! However, they get docked a couple of stars and I’ll explain why. The problem I had, which is very common, was a bad capacitor. These cost anywhere from $ 20 — $ 40, sometimes more if a less common capacitor is required. For the unit I had serviced, I could have bought a capacitor on line and received it within a couple days for $ 30(this is hindsight speaking, mind you… I would have declined the part and did it myself had I realized…). I’m guessing the cost to Paschal was probably more like $ 20, maybe even less. Well, they charged me $ 132 for the capacitor… so even if it did actually cost them the same $ 30 I would have paid, that’s a 340% mark up and gross margin of 77%. The service fee is $ 79(seems a little high for this area, but I’m not sure what competitors charge), and there’s tax as well, so a service call that took less than 30 minutes, to replace a $ 30 part, cost about $ 230. Now here’s the thing… I’m guessing this is in line with what most other HVAC service companies charge. And I’m fine with them making money on the part, but what I consider reasonable is a 100−150% markup(so, $ 60-$ 75 in this case). Get me up and running for $ 150 or less, you know? Yeah, I know… there’s overhead, you’re paying for the diagnosis, blah blah blah. I get that. But I don’t have to like it. The bright side is that I learned a good deal while doing my own diagnostics, watched the technician closely, and now I will get a decent volt meter that will allow me to do more thorough diagnostics(handy to have for other appliances and whatnot, too), and quite possibly save me $ 200 should just such an occasion occur again in the future! Live and learn.

My air went out during the night, I woke up sweating like crazy at 2am and didn’t get a wink of sleep because of the triple digit temps we’ve been having for the past 3 months. At 7Am I couldn’t take it anymore and thought I’d just call(not expecting an answer). Not only did someone answer on the first couple of rings, but they scheduled me for that same morning, and not only did the repairman do the job, but he did it fast, and efficiently, and only charged me 15 $ over the standard 75 $ service fee. You don’t get great/personal service like they seem to provide much anymore, and It was refreshing to see. I will use them again, and I have been singing their praises ever since, recommending them to all that will listen.

I have used Pashcal twice for service on my AC unit and each time was thoroughly impressed by the level of professionalism and courtesy I was shown. I believe their techs to be the best in the business. Toby, the tech I have had both times is extremely knowledgable and friendly. Like AP in the post below, Toby wore booties on his feet when he entered my home. My small dogs were jumping on him, he didn’t mind and even gave them a good scratch behind the ears before heading to the back yard to complete his work. One thing I know for sure is Paschal is the most honest heat and air company in the business. I trust them and recommend them to everyone I know.

My A/C quit and I called Paschal. An actual person answered the phone-even at 7:30 am. A message was taken. I wasn’t expecting a return call for hours, if at all. To my surprise the tech called me back within a half an hour. We scheduled a visit within 2 hours. Before they showed up, earlier than scheduled I might add, they called to make sure it was OK. Of course it was! The tech showed up(wearing a clean uniform and booties around his boots which was reassuring), found the issue(the capacitor on the blower motor was fried), replaced the part, cleaned up, presented me a bill(very reasonable), and was gone within half an hour. He was courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. I have to say I am extremely pleased with Paschal’s service and have no reservations about recommending them. I’ll only use this company in the future.

My experience was not quite a joyful as the original reviewers was. They sold me a very expensive unit. Didn’t stand behind it and forced me to go to the manufacturer for parts and warranty issues because 6 months after they sold it to me they decided to not carry that brand anymore despite their assurances that they would take care of my service when they sold me the unit at 20% higher than others sell the same unit for. I will never give these guys another penny. They completely let me down.
