First and last time at this Fairfield. Check-in: 2 hours after check-in time, the room’s not ready.(It was, however, just a lack of communication to the front desk.) That evening(a Friday) a large group of teens came in via tour bus. «Oh, there goes the quiet» we thought, but they were perfectly awesome, well-mannered and well-chaperoned. Next night was different. We got back at around 11PM and there were tweens and teens everywhere, running amok. A tournament baseball team. Now, the behavior isn’t the fault of the hotel, it’s the«parents» along with the kids. My BIL had his kid in one of those teams a few years back, and it’s like anything else, some good ones and some bad ones. However, the response from the desk staff was weak. At 11:45 a sudden stampede down the hall with giggling and laughing. Maybe last event? Nope. 12:54AM. More of the same. A call to the desk was unanswered. 2AM… more running. I went downstairs to the desk. No one there. At checkout I asked and got a blank look. Was never asked the standard«How was your stay?», just a sheepish«Here’s your receipt.»

Had a nice stay here over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We stayed 3 nights total. The hotel is really modern after a recent update. The lobby area is nice and inviting with updated seating and a large screen tv. The hotel serves free breakfast. They pretty much served the same thing every day. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, waffle maker, biscuits and gravy and a large selection of pastries and bagels. The breakfast wasn’t great but it does the job if you wake up hungry. The rooms were comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Beds were super comfortable and flat screen tv had lots of channels, including HBO. My only complaint about the room is the curtains. They have sheer curtains that close all the way but the black out curtains do not. You actually can’t move the black out curtains, they’re made to stay halfway open. Not great if you plan to sleep in, not a big deal for me because I’m usually up by 7a, but it would be hard to try to fall back asleep if the sun is shining into your room. The staff that we encountered were all very friendly.
