I’ve received some really good haircuts from this place, and some really bad ones. My girl Sydney(same name as me!) has never once given me a bad cut. Usually this place is too booked up for walk ins though, which can be inconvenient.

First, I scheduled an appointment three days ahead of time due to my flight and meeting schedule. Called when I flew in since my flight arrived early to see if I could get in half an hour early to find out they had my appointment wrong. Moved on past them screwing up and booked an earlier appointment. Got there 15 minutes earlier than my new appointment time. 45 minutes after my appointment time I’m taken back to have my hair washed. During the wait three other people got up to ask how much longer. One poor guy that was there before I was wasn’t even taken back until about 15 minutes after me, so he had to have been there for over an hour waiting. No discounts, no apologies. I used to go to this place for about twelve years before I moved to Cali about three years ago and the customer service sucks now.

Love Cindia and Angelique. Both do an amazing job! I’d never go to anyone but, Cindia! She’s AMAZING! Every time I walk out if there I feel awesome! Just made a major change in hair color and I was nervous! Cindia knows her stuff! My husband loves it and so do I!

A company who does not value its employees /customers should not be in business. Heard the manager speaking extremely rude to the girl who cut my hair. the girl was visibly upset through the duration of my hair cut and I became extremely uncomfortable. After, I tried to talk to the” manager” and she was abrupt and wouldn’t let me speak. I use to come all the time a few years ago but moved away and when I was visiting my family decided to go back. This place has gone downhill. It’s no wonder I didn’t see any familiar faces.

I am writing this review in behalf of my mother who had a terrible experience today at Visible Changes at the Woodlands location. She is not on Unilocal, but because I am a customer at Visible Changes, this review is a must. My mother has been a loyal customer Cony at Visible Changes for 19 years, ever since she was at the Greenspoint location. Cony was not available today when my mom called to make a hair color appointment, so she asked for another stylist and she was recommended Diana Peña, in lieu of Cony. My mother arrived prior to her scheduled appointment time of 11:30 and while she waited, a Spanish speaking customer asked my mom(also speaks Spanish), if she could translate to her stylist what kind of cut she wanted because she did not feel comfortable speaking English. My mom was willing to help out the other customer, but then my mom’s name was called in a rude tone, as it was time for her appointment. That should have been a REDFLAG. My mom then asked Diana if she spoke Spanish(yes) and if she wouldn’t mind translating for that customer who needed assistance requesting her cut to her stylist. She got so angry and said that she did not have time for any of that. Diana escorted my mom to the back to get her to change out of her clothes to prep for the hair color, with an annoyed demeanor. My mother submissively changed out of her clothes and started walking to take her seat when she saw that Diana was not there. Naively, she thought that she may have been translating for the customer who needed help, but then my mom saw Diana at the counter. Diana was telling the girl at the front desk with an attitude saying she was«not going to attend her and I’m not translating for that other person!» and making hand gestures with her hands that were so disdainful, pointing back at my mother as if she was a piece of crap. My mother then said(in English), «Excuse me; what kind of customer service is this??» Diana walked away all pissed off and my mother asked the front desk attendant to speak to the manager. The manager was not present and she was given a time she could call and speak to her. No other stylists were available and so then my mom decided to leave after that bad experience. As she was walking out of the salon, Diana Peña followed my mother out yelling, «MYNAMEISDIANAPEÑAAND I DON’T CAREIFYOUREPORTMETOMYMANAGER!» …What the heck? How unprofessional. To say the least, my poor mother was shaking in anger and her heart was pounding terribly after being treated so poorly. I cannot believe these are the kind of people working at this establishment. For some reason I have always thought of Visible Changes as being a professional and honorable salon. My mom has paid thousands of dollars now getting her hair done over the years, but after this, Visible Changes has lost my mother AND myself as customers.

I have been a client for 9 months, have always been happy with the service. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Yany and Taryn. Syliva, the manager, has no idea how to treat the clients. She talked down to me. Made me feel as though she thought I was a 12 year. It doesn’t matter how great the stylist are, if you have to deal with this rude woman, it’s not worth it. I spent $ 1500 every 2 months for extensions. She doesn’t seem to care that she’s lost me, or if you read other reviews, a lot more clients. Visible changes needs to clean house. Hire a manager who is nice and knows how to treat clients! Sylvia is just awful!

While I am typically not surprised by the higher prices of hair cuts here, what I am surprised by is the rude and unprofessional lady at the front desk. There is obviously a problem speaking to women for her or at very least listening. She only would look to my husband when I spoke to her and addressed all answers to him. Furthermore her smug and distaste for whatever was happening today was more than evident on her face and in her short answers. Because of this, we left and took our business elsewhere as we will always do from now on.

I haven’t had my hair done by a professional in over 3 years! I went in on Monday, and had low expectations(I do for most chain businesses). I was greeted by a gal(who wasn’t too friendly) who then told me to go with Rachel(spelling?). Rachel was great! She did my hair exactly how I asked, gave me input on how to style it daily, and talked about pricing($ 33 for wash, cut, blow-dry) as she was doing my hair. She was so informative, she didn’t judge me for the terrible color I dyed my hair, and she was extremely professional! I think I have now found my go to stylist now! Thank you for changing my mind about chains!!!

Wiley ruined my hair by over bleaching it almost white. Would not fix it for free, I still had to pay. NEVER use her she’ll ruin your hair. I had so much damage and heart ache over this and she never even apologized. Another girl ended up fixing my hair the next day. If you go here, please never have Wiley do your hair.

My boys have been getting their haircut by Ann K. for the past 6 years. She is always friendly and professional and does an excellent job. I hate having to pay the amount I do for their haircut, but I have never been satisfied with strip center hair cut places. Boys like to look good too! As for me, the services I have received from other stylist have been hit or miss. I have curly hair and not everyone knows how to cut and style my hair type. Also, I really hate that I have to find one person to color my hair and then time my appt. right to get someone else to cut and style. Which on that note they never seem to schedule right so be ready to wait.

Go to Kelley! She does a great job and is so fun to talk to. Both my husband and I have been having her do our hair for nearly 2 years and she does a great job every time. She is very consistent, listens to your feedback on what you want, and by now pretty much has my haircut memorized(but she’s also willing to experiment). It’s so hard to find a stylist that you work well with and is reasonable in pricing, so I am glad we found Kelley. Additionally, I’ve never had a bad haircut or color treatment from this location. I no longer color my hair, but when I did, the stylists were always accommodating and listened to find a style that worked for me. My hair always looks better when I leave and I usually do not pay for a senior stylist or whatever they are called(unless they are THAT good like Kelley is). I recommend talking to the front desk about what you’re looking for before you book your appointment so that you can book it with a stylist who normally works with similar styles. They do have a lot of stylists, so this can only help you find the right one. I’ve never felt like I was in a mall hair salon here and have gotten the same level of quality that I’ve paid more for at independent/smaller salons.

I am new to the area and after two disappointments with two other hair salons I decided to give Visible Changes a try. Deli was the hair stylist and she did an excellent job! I am happy I decided to go. Be prepared to wait though — I waited for 20mn– before they washed my hair. I have been told that sometimes they make you wait even more.

While shopping at The Woodlands Mall, we stopped by to see how long the wait would be to get a haircut. It was 4 pm. We were told they could reserve a spot for us at 5:30, which we accepted. When we returned at 5:30, we were told it would be another 10 minutes. 15 minutes later, we were told it would be another 10 minutes. They were not very busy at all when we returned at 5:30 and we stated as much to them, asking why we were being further delayed. No justifiable reasons were given other than, we just got backed up. I explained this appointment was for my wheelchair bound sister, who was on a portable ventilator with only limited battery power and that we had already waited almost 2 hours and didn’t have the luxury to continue to wait. They FINALLY got us in with another stylist, who gave her a nice quick haircut. We were satisfied with the cut, just not the service up to the haircut. No one should have to wait longer than the 1 ½ hour initial wait that we all agreed to.

I have been getting my hair cut here for quite sometime now and this place may be a bit overpriced given depends on who your stylist Evalina has been cutting my hair for a while and she has done a fantastic job. This place is packed during early mornings and weekends so schedule wisely.

Normally I would have given Visible Changes about 1 – 2 stars. They have always been hit or miss. Whenever I find a stylist at the price range/skill level I like they always move up to a higher price and I don’t seem to find this out until its the middle of the cut or when I am about to pay. I vowed never to get my hair cut at Visible Changes again but my mom treated me a few weeks ago and I couldn’t pass up a free hair cut: However, I had Sid(I hope thats how she spells it) and she was AWESOME. I was so please with how she cut my hair and she was friendly and personable, a nice change from the glowering silence I’ve experienced before. She’s great! Maybe I’ll come back again.

You know, I’m not sure I would’ve come here if I didn’t work at the mall and have a glowing recommendation from one of my friends, but after losing my regular stylist I finally found one here. Her name is Deli and she’s adorable and so attentive and smart. She takes care in your hair and I’ve never left there anything less than ecstatic. Sometimes the other service can be a little inconsistent(really only awkward shampooings in my experience) but whenever I see Deli, she greets me with a hug and a smile and gets excited to do my hair, just as excited as I am to get a change. Deli is what keeps me coming back. :D

My family tried this place numerous times, usually because we couldn’t get an appointment at our regular salon. We tried the top stylists(they have MANY levels, master, senior, etc.) They are very inconsistent in quality, and we waited(with appointments, not walk ins) a long time. For haircuts, they never got a layered look right, poor customer service, got the color or highlights totally wrong… Try any strip salon and you will save yourself some stress and $$

Good– Courtney Dalrymple— ROCKS as a hair color specialist!!! She does super highlights that are subtle and classy. I have been going to her for 5 years now and I can honestly say I love how my hair color looks. I also like Cyon for hair cuts, she really stays up to date with her cutting styles and techniques. I always feel like she gives me a super cut that flatters my shape. Bad — They don’t have enough shampoo people when it’s less crowded in the morning and the stylists obviously have back to back appointments, so it’s sometimes a juggling act to get your hair shampooed and that can be annoying. Since I have been going there for a few years now I have noticed that their prices keep inching up. I can remember when I could get out of there for $ 112 that’s including tip, but now I am paying about $ 134 including tip. Not sure how or why the prices keep creeping up because my requirements haven’t changed. Overall I can’t really complain when most high-end salons charge an arm and both legs for the same services. Ugly — Nothing to report yet I am a big fan!

I have been getting my hair cut at Visible Changes since I was in middle school. I have been happy with my haircuts every time. Everyone is very attentive and make sure you have a great experience. In October of 2006, I just started college and was trying to pinch pennies anywhere I could, but I would later find out this was not the area to do so. I ended up going to an independent salon in Spring, Texas. The person who cut my hair did a horrible job. She cut is much shorter than I wanted it and it was about 1 inch shorter on one side of my face than the other. I was horrified. I then decided I was going to get my hair fixed once and for all at Visible changes. Crystal did a wonderful job fixing the mess that was my hair. Even though my hair had to be cut even shorter in order to even things out, she made it look awesome. Ironically, my hair cut at Visible Changes was only $ 5 more than the previous cut. Go with the best, spend just a couple of dollars more, and go with Visible Changes. You won’t be sorry.

Ahhhh, Visible Changes. Had my first«salon» haircut at the Deerbrook store in 1985. Think, «Depeche Mode». Youthful indiscretions aside and years later, these guys still know how to make me look great. This is the cheapest therapy I’ve ever had. My look is now very conservative, but I still feel confident about my cuts. Add a firm scalp massage and friendly banter and I can skip seeing Dr. Anything-But-Frank. My «therapist», Cindy at The Woodlands location, always leaves me with a perfectly sculpted head of hair, and, a lighter heart. Thanks Cindy!
