This place was a blessing to me when it first opened, I can remember when I lived in Mexico, having bread and chocolate milk for diner when I was little haha. there was no other place around Houston with better authentic Mexican bread. The owners were the ones serving the place so the service was obviously always excellent, really nice and polite people. You could also buy candy and other goods from Mexico which was pretty epic. I heard they’re gonna reopen? Which I surely hope and wish the best of luck to this business, I think as a Latino community we should support each other outside of our homeland.(:

I am hoping that this little bakery actually makes it, it adds welcome diversity in the Woodlands. I have some concerns about their future for a couple of reasons though: First and foremost is it’s unfortunate positioning on the feeder for I-45 South. It is laid back from the road and I cannot imagine anyone just happening upon it — and it is tricky to stop in time to enter even if you are looking for it Second they sometimes don’t have any bread(e.g. Today December 26 — I asked for bread since there was none on display and just got a weird look from the server) Third, apart from the many sweet pastries, there is very very limited savory fare. I have enjoyed the empanada’s a few times — served from a warmed cabinet. Unfortunately some days(Friday’s?) they don’t have them — yet there is no schedule as to when they have bread or empanada’s and when they don’t. So while I want to be a regular I often simply don’t go because they may well have nothing that I want. Other than the above issues — could be a nice little specialty bakery store!
