Haven’t even eaten the donuts yet, but won’t go back because the teenage girls at the counter were so rude. One stayed on her cell the whole time and neither one talked to us besides to tell us the total we owed.

Yummy kolaches and glazed donuts! The girls behind the counter aren’t all that friendly, but I was in and out quickly and was happy w/my kolache and donuts.

Sundale is by far the favorite Donut/Kolache spot of all my family. The turkey and swiss kolaches are great. I’m also a big fan of the their apple fritter. My kiddos love their donut holes, sprinkle donuts, and their breakfast tacos.

Was super stoked to see that they use real smoked sausage in their kolaches, but felt so ripped off by the amount of it in their jumbo kolaches. The thin, half-slice of sausage inside was completely overwhelmed by the amount of dough. I ended up ripping off half of the dough and tossing it in the trash. Talk about empty calories! I mean, this is a donut shop so empty calories are their specialty, but at $ 1.90 a pop I expect a better ratio of meat-to-bread. Granted this shop is located in a high income area and they can get away with charging such prices, that doesn’t mean they should cheap out on quality. The donuts were nothing to write home about, uninspired and acrid tasting. We tried the donut holes, cinnamon sugar raised donut, and coconut flake iced. You could get anything at Sundale for cheaper at a grocery store bakery and it would taste just as mediocre. The service was okay, your typical Woodlands indifference. There was plenty of parking for the strip center, but the lot is busy and drivers speed through the lot without any regard for safety. Maybe wear a helmet if you’re trying to shop in the area.

The donuts were OK. The girls working the counter were not very friendly at all. We’re new to The Woodlands and this was our first donut outing, so I can’t say I’ve had better in The Woodlands, but I can say we won’t be going back to this donut store.

This was the first time I had a Kolache. I’ve read that Sundale makes really good ones and I decided to try the jalapeño/cheese. If I could find a place like this in the Bay Area, my taste buds will be happy.
