Fab 1^st appointment experience at their newest state of the art Auburn Lakes facility. Starting with the cordial and accommodating phone reception scheduling the appointment thru patient registration. Hygenist Molly=efficient (felt my teeth so clean that I didn’t want to eat right away to get it dirty), detail oriented, informative, articulate and personably sincere. Icing on the cake is the hard to find, old school ideal bedside manner from both Dr. Pagano and Hygenist Molly.
Elated to find them in our Texas living adventure as recent migrants from the Northeast.

Having moved around quite a bit and experienced a variety of dentists, this practice is my favorite without a doubt. The staff is friendly and professional, the standards and methodologies up to the moment, and the results stellar. I would highly recommend them.

I was highly recommended by good childhood friend, who have been going to see Dr. Stephen for her whole life and still does. I see Why their ratings are so high, however, if my rating was simply based on my initial first time visit for customer service and first visit altogether then my star ratings would be a 5!!! My rating is based on an incident I didn’t feel Dr Stephen cared enough about his patient. I am full aware that he is a general dentist, that does more complicated detailed procedures. I am more comfortable going to a «specialist» for those procedures. During my visit on Dec 2014, I asked Dr Stephen if he can refer me to an orthodontist. He said, «there is one down the street.» His response showed me that he truly didn’t care for what the patient wanted. Therefore, I will not return. Also, many general dentists will tell their patients they can do implants for you, because conveniently they have the machine. Anyhow, having a dentist in the family– this is not a good idea to go to general dentist for complicated procedures. You need to see a periodontist/​implantology practice. It’s up to you… I prefer a specialist.

I was referred to him by my girl Stacy from American Laser Skincare-​Willobrook– the minute I walked in, I felt welcomed. Love the girls, very professional staff and Mr Gatewood is so cool and explained in detailed all my worries. Will definitively recommend this place to family and friends. I even brought my mother and she also liked the place. And we both are dentist phobic chicas, but not here. Can’t wait for my 2^nd appointment.

I have had a fear of going to the Dentist for over 20 years. Recently, the fillings I received over 30 years ago started to come out. I had a terrible tooth infection. The pain was unbearable. I ended up in a mess of a situation. I went to a Dentist to get some help and relief. I ended up in a bigger mess, more pain and my fear of going to the Dentist was alive and in full force. I felt that I had no hope. Seriously. Three weeks later the swelling was back, pain level was at a 10, used all of my insurance plus BIG $$$$. My pity party was at an all time high!
I was referred to Stephens Gatewood & Associates Dentistry from a client of mine. She noticed my face swollen and asked if I was ok. I explained to her the events that had taken place and my fear. She reached in her purse and gave me a card. She assured me that I would be in great hands. I actually made the call right then. I spoke with Darla. She was very nice. She listened to me rant about my concerns and past experience. My pity party was being crashed! (Thank God!)
I made the appointment and went in. I was looking for a reason to continue my party and talk myself out of getting the work done. I could not find anything. Sandra met me and took me back. I will tell you that she did something rare. After giving me a tour she sat me in the chair. She explained in detail how my appointment was going to be. Sandra was awesome! Dr. Gatewood came in after my x-​rays and introduced himself to me. He did the exam and explained everything to me. He was talking with me instead of at me. I knew at that point I had found my Dentist. After meeting with him Val came in. She introduced herself and did exam. I could really tell that this was a passion for her and not just a job. Sandra stayed with me through the entire experience.
I had my first procedure on Tuesday. I had root canal, a crown and a filling. I will say that it went great. I was back to work that same day. That night I had a voicemail from Dr. Gatewood. He was following up with my appointment. That was nice. Yesterday, I checked my mail and there was a hand written «Thank You» card. The customer service that I have received is amazing. I told my team I needed them to go to there just to take some tips! I am going back in 2 weeks to start the next phase to my new smile. I am excited! (that sounds crazy I know)
I wanted to write a review because this is my real story. I have read reviews and thought «No Way!» I want to end this and say that at Stephens Gatewood & Associates Dentistry they do not RSVP to pity parties. :)

Love, love, love this dentistry group! The staff is very polite and friendly. The waiting area has comfortable seats and snacks! For real – snacks at the dental office… before you get your teeth cleaned! Michelle, one of the hygienist is hilarious! I’m glad my friend referred me to this office. I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with each visit!
