oh my! oh my! finger-lickin gooood… once you walk through the door a little ways you’ll be greeted with ice covered bottle neck beers of different varieties and sodas(if you prefer fountain drinks cups are at the counter). Go through the line like at the amusement park. As you snake your way towards the counter to order, you’ll see a fridge that is stocked with potato salad and cole slaw. Pick your consumption size and proceed. You’ll also have the opportunity to grab potato chips on the way to the counter. Now as you order they’ll weigh your meat as they become available and put em in a plastic tray. We ordered both the lean and moist brisket, baby back ribs, turkey and sausage along with ‘tater salad and cole slaw. mmmm mmmm gooood. The BBQ sauce and various condiments are found at the table and at the«condiments» bar(along with plastic-ware, paper towles etc.) by the soda dispensing machines. Order more to your hearts content or until your belly bursts. We spent about $ 90 for a family of 8. Service was great and everyone was friendly. It was an epic chowdown!

Good BBQ at a great price. Excellent meats and BBQ sauce. The sides are a little basic for me but still good. I love the help yourself onion, jalapeño, and pickle bar. My favorite thing about Rudy’s are the breakfast tacos. Just stop into their Country Store and pick up the still hot, pre made breakfast tacos. My fav is brisket, egg and cheese. My kids like the potato, egg and cheese. The only way to make it better is to cover them in Rudy’s sauce. They are a must try if you love BBQ.

It’s hard to pass a Rudy’s after you’ve had a good experience. My brother and I decided to eat here after a few hours of shopping. I chose the brisket(moist) sandwich while he tried the pulled pork sandwich. Both of us were highly satisfied with our food and service. We will definitely be returning for a good meal soon.

Omg! Omg! Omg! If BBQ gets any better, I’ve never had it! The brisket is out of this world, the potato salad rocks, the sweet tea is oh so fine, and the banana pudding will make you want a cigarette… even if you don’t smoke! lol We went toward the end of a Sunday lunch crowd and they still got us served and seated in a very expeditious manner. ESPECIALLY for a chain, you just can’t beat this place!

Great consistent food. Been to many of these around the southwest. I use Rudy’s rub at home for my ribs!

Good bbq, but I think I can find better. Feels like a chain(is it??). Sausage: love it. Great seasoning and texture. A little spicy. Brisket: a little drier than I like but good smokey flavor House made sauce is just ok, leaning on sour. Overall: decent food but I wouldn’t come back.

Omg I must have gone to BBQ heaven! The sauce is super delicious, the brisket(moist) in my opinion is the star here at Rudy’s. It’s flavorful, tender, moist and cooked to perfection! I couldn’t leave Texas, without eating real BBQ! The potato salad also on point. This place is unique with their trays, table seating, etc. I can’t wait until I move here in the fall and frequent this place

Delicious everytime! We always love their brisket and potato salad. The brisket is always moist and full of flavor. Sometimes on Saturday lunch there’s a long line out the door to order but it usually moves well and you still get your food quickly. Breakfast tacos here are a must! Great prices, delicious and filling!

Came in for lunch today and had the prime rib and«moist» brisket. Prime rib was excellent, perfectly smoked and was served a perfect medium rare. Brisket was good but a bit in the dry side, even though I ordered it moist. Still very good. I also had to try the banana pudding which was amazing. Service went above and beyond, explaining everything about the menu to me and giving samples(since it was my first time visiting). Keep up the good work Rudys!

A long weekend in Texas had me seeking brisket. Rudy’s in Spring was nearby and recommended to us. My buddy and I were like two kids in a candy store! We were craving brisket, but the turkey and ribs were the star of the show. The jalapeño sausage was darn good too. I wish they served cornbread. Rudy’s made a memorable meal that will leave me craving for another visit.

We ate here on a Sunday after church & they were packed but they were still cheerful & fast. But most important the food was great! We had the brisket very moist but not overly fat.

Holy hot as hell in here Rudy’s! My most recent visit was on a Sunday, and yes I know busy Sunday crowd rush, tisk tisk on me. But if I’m cooking in line, I can only imagine the employees, hoping they have some direct AC blowing down on them and their uniforms are moisture wicking. Surprisingly, business moves decently quick, until in all its randomness you get all patrons that are ordering for family of 10+ and all the employees are deep in the weeds, praying for some air conditioning(especially on a Sunday!) All overheating aside, Rudy’s still is pretty consistent each time that I have frequented a meal here. ABSOLUTEFAVORITE — Cream Corn($ 2.39) — a perfect blend of pureed corn and whole chunks of sweet corn, I literally could probably fill up on it alone and I recommend all to give it a try. All their meats have been pretty consistent, great flavor, never too dry. I usually opt for a sandwich(cant kick those carbs) with either chopped beef($ 4.99) or brisket($ 5.49), stack on some pickles and onions. BTW if you are doing take out there are Ziploc’s to pack away your much needed condiments(not going to lie I love pickles, I probably take more than I should but one cannot resist the satisfying saltiness that pickles provide). You can also ask for sauce to go as well. I still find their sauce to be very plain and not so much noteworthy. This visit I stretched beyond my normal meats above and tried the pulled pork($ 4.99), sadly a mistake, the smell was very off putting. Not sure if it was just a bad batch, old, or simply always has a rank aroma. If I didn’t stray this day my rating would have added an additional star, ugh for going outside the comfort zone! Nonetheless if you got the room finish off with some Banana Pudding($ 2.19) its not the best I have ever had, as I like my vanilla wafers with just a little crunch not completely softened, but its a perfect size for«sort-of» sharing like with a mini human no one else.

Very dry brisket. I think it was under the heat lamp too long. I had a hard time choking it down. If this were my restaurant, I would not have served it. I will go back once more, just to see if this was a fluke. Most of my experiences at Rudy’s have been fairly positive, with the exception of their«moist» brisket, which was SO fatty, I thought I would hurl. Otherwise, the restaurant was clean, the employees very helpful and kind. The server told me to order«moist trimmed» next time. This is an off-menu choice. My thought is that the policy on quality is more based on the bottom line than on their reputation as a source for great barbecue.

We were there Saturday night with friends, the bbq chicken was very moist and amazing flavor. The beans had a great taste, cole slaw fresh and very nice taste. The brisket came out greasy but had great flavor. You can’t go wrong if you want real Texas bbq, they are one of the best around.

I placed a Togo order. I asked on the phone whether they would include sauce and condiments. They said yes. When I saw the bag I specifically asked whether they had included enough because I could tell the bag looked light. I was right and the staff had fooled me. For 2.5 pds of meat they included only 6 slices of bread and 3 little Togo packs of BBQ sauce. We had to stop at the grocery store to pick up additional items.

I’m not usually fan of chain restaurants, especially when it comes to BBQ. But then I tasted Rudy’s Moist Brisket! Everything changed!!! This brisket is ridiculously tender AND has some killer bark! There’s really nothing else to say — it’s simply everything you could want out of BBQ Brisket and certainly the most tender I’ve found anywhere. We also got some Baby Back Ribs and some House Sausage. The Ribs were different from any that I’ve ever had before. The seasoning was very mild and almost reminded me of what would be used on a simple roasted chicken. That being said, it was quite tasty and I enjoyed it! The Sausage was pretty straight forward and pretty delicious! I will mention that by the time I’d finished half of one, I started feeling a little heat. It’s very subtle to start, but certainly grows! I will certainly be returning to Rudy’s! Next time I’m sure we’ll order twice as much Brisket and maybe try a different kind of rib!

The real deal Texas BBQ experience. Nothing like getting BBQ at the country store. Rudy’s keeps it simple. Simple menu. Simple ingredients. This is not the place to come if you are looking for vegetable sides or anything healthy and green. Stick to the meat and you will be happy. The pulled pork sandwich is just pork served on a warm bun. The BBQ sauce options are self service at your table. They range from tangy-sweet to spicy.

Dope! The meat will melt in your mouth as it falls off the bone. Everything here is fantastic. Brisket, ribs, cold beer, yes! There’s plenty to choose from and lots of room for families or parties. There are a few TVs to watch the game on if that’s you’re concern.(Go Redskins!) I loved the baby back ribs the most, simply mouth watering tenderness. They have a few selections of bbq sauces, all were pretty vinegary, which was fine by me. Nice service up front, what more can I ask for. Check this place out!

Most likely because I’m from SF, but this meal was filling and cheap. Mostly I couldn’t believe how much food I was getting for about $ 10. Probably because it’s Texas. I ended up getting a Dr. Pepper(made with REALSUGAR) — strange right? Also some pulled pork and brisket. The pulled pork was pretty good — even better with the BBQ sauce. The brisket was a bit dry so I really should have ordered the extra moist version — damnit! Next time. The creamed corn was delicious as well. Some of the coworkers I went with got some other items like the baby back ribs and other sides(like the peach cobbler). So good! Definitely recommend as a good bbq spot in the Woodlands area.

My husband was disappointed in the ribs but he liked the slaw and potato salad plus my order of moist brisket. WOW the moist brisket and buttered new potatoes can be on my plate everyday.

Moist brisket Need I say more … Yes extra moist brisket. They have to open one of these in Southern California please as my last dying wish… I just love the atmosphere super relaxed down to earth comfort food! In Texas u can get gas and eat amazing food, freshly barbecued and delicious!!! They offer a wide selection of beer and the sauce is so good. The sides are good too, I tried the cream of corn and it wasn’t bad but I would just get the corn on the cob, I honestly come here for the meat!!! The ribs were delicious, we got it for our daughter and it was the best I’ve ever eaten! I love this place looking forward to coming back to Texas to have some of rudys.

The moist brisket is the best! I recommend the brisket, potato salad, and the cream corn. All are tasty. I would recommend stopping here for some BBQ. You purchase the meat«by the pound». The menu lists ½ pound prices, but you do not have to buy ½ pound quantities. You can also purchase ¼ pound portions.

Stopped for the first time. Amazing smoked turkey sandwich Extremely disappointed in the brisket sandwich. Both of ours were dry and the bark was crunchy. Will not order that again. Very good BBQ sauce.

We came at around 9:20 pm, near closing time, so the foods weren’t that hot anymore. In return, we got more food than we ordered. We ordered half a pound of moist brisket, baby back ribs, prime rib, half jalapeños sausage and half regular sausage. They gave us almost a pound of each. My favorites are baby back ribs and prime rib. I liked the brisket too, it was very moist. If you like potato salad, it is a must! Creamed corn was okay.

Excellent brisket, great Texas BBQ. Great atmosphere for a chain Fast and friendly service, did I mention excellent brisket!!! Really enjoyed the heat and spice in the BBQ sauce. The sissy sauce didn’t cut it for me. Needed the full strength stuff. Great meal. Highly recommend a visit

Who comes to Texas and doesn’t get bbq?! :) Really recommend coming here for real, authentic Texas bbq. The food is great, portions are big, and it’s pretty cheap! Luckily we came here at a time that wasn’t busy so we ordered really quickly. Also, you get your food right after you order so there’s no waiting around for your food. The food is sold by ½ lbs and they weigh it before giving it to you. Sometimes they will charge you for a little over(we got .62 lbs) so it’s not entirely a set price. My friend and I shared half pounds of the baby back ribs and moist brisket and had brisket leftover. We also had coleslaw but I really do not recommend that because it tastes like nothing. The brisket would definitely be my favorite! It’s so tender and flavorful. Feel free to use the BBQ sauces on the table too! Baby back ribs were also great and fell off the bone. If you are like us and had leftovers, ask for a takeout bag. You won’t regret coming here :)

Delicious and cheap BBQ located right off 45. This is a great place to satisfy your craving for some delectable Texas BBQ. The pulled pork sandwiches were satisfying and under $ 5. The tender ribs just fell off the bone. The potato salad was also perfectly made. For breakfast, they also serve breakfast tacos. I will definitely have to come back to try these out. In terms of appearance, Rudy’s features long picnic tables in a wide open garage. It is the perfect place to enjoy some family style cookin’. You order your meal at the counter and bring it to your table. You also bus your own table as this is a no frills kinda of experience. 5 Stars for Rudy’s — this might be the best off-the-freeway meal I have ever had.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Hello? Can you say the best BBQ that I’ve had since coming to Texas? I’m enjoying a catered event featuring Rudys BBQ complete with all the fixings. My favorite? The pulled pork on the Wonder bread is old school and delicious! Lots of flavor, juicy and did I mention delicious? It comes together perfectly when served with their amazing creamy potato salad and crunchy fresh cole slaw! Y’ALL need to go to Rudy’s!

Good old reliable Rudy’s. My annual Houston trip and my group knew our first meal in Texas had to be some form of meat. Luckily there was a Rudy’s close to the airport so we quickly headed off. Ordered the default moist brisket(of course brisket) and a half Jalapeño sausage. Brisket was exactly how I remembered… nice smoke, nicely seasoned, and some nice yummy fat. First time trying Rudy’s dessert offerings in the form of the buttermilk pie. This little inconspicuous pie was a heavy hitter of southern comfort. It was so rich and creamy that I knew I would regret it latter. I know it’s a chain BBQ place, but there’s a reason Rudy’s has so many branches in such a competitive BBQ city.
