Rookies Sports Bar & Grill

I’ve been here twice and both times were very unpleasing. The douche cops that sit there and talk shit to the customers must have nothing better to do with themselves. Terrible service and my drinks tasted like my 4 year old daughter mixed them. The first time I went here they forced me to get a taxi for my (then) girlfriend who was clearly drunk, yet I was very capable of driving and we were in my vehicle… I only drank 2 beers that night. Seriously, the worst bar experience I’ve had and will not be returning because I believe that, for them, the third time will not be a charm.

So I came into the bar to try to give them another chance because the first time the service was horrible!
I ordered food which took over 40 minutes to receive. There was a group of 6 of us and the drink orders were not only mixed up with another table but tastes like the bartenders have never mixed drinks in their life. Horrible!
I asked if they would comp some of the drinks and management would not even help us out!
Never going back to this shithole again! Two thumbs down…

Came in here with a buddy of mine after attending an Astros game. This was the third bar we had gone to that night, and our last. My buddy and I ended it by eating 5 pounds of mudbugs (crawfish) and then ordered three more pounds. I couldn’t really feel my face the rest of the night from all the salt I had just consumed. The crawfish was decent, kind of dry for my liking. Crawfish and cold beer while people watching in Texas, not a bad way to end the night.

Do not patronize this establishment. The management colludes with
Montgomery County Police to have people arrested.

I used to frequent this place a lot til I found a spot across the road but it is a cool, divy kinda place. The food is slightly above average bar food. I dig the wings (half price on Monday) and the skinny chix. The grilled cheese is good as well. Good drink specials and cold beer are abundant:)

This bar has a large selection of craft beers. Most of the bartenders are very knowledgeable about the different beers. The food is also top-​notch and they are doing crawfish right now. I had the chicken Caesar salad and added shrimp, which was especially delicious.

Terrible service. I have been here on multiple occasions with friends and no matter how many chances I give this bar it’s just has terrible service. Got to the bar and had to wait 15 minutes before approached to see If I wanted something and soon after I finished my beer the bartender would make eye contact but wouldn’t come and ask if u needed anything. Like really? I had to get my friend to get my bartender in order to get another drink. After spotting my bartender she was flirting with some guy the whole time. I looked around and noticed I wasn’t the only one waiting to be waited on. Very rude. Had to wait a good 10 – 15 minutes to just get my check. It will be a great while before I give this place my money again.

This place is cool for a local bar/​place to hang out. Definitely smokey inside. Smoke normally does not bother me but I am an allergy sufferer and this place made my nose run from the lingering smoke. They just need to invest in some smoke filters and this place will be awesome!

Great place to hangout with friends and shoot the shit. Come has you are have a few drinks and enjoy yourself.

Service is second to none, especially from the bartender Drew. I come in for happy hour on my way home from work. Drinks are cheap and well poured, the music is great and the bar food is Inexpensive. Some of the best bar hot dogs I’ve had. They definitely don’t used cheap hot dogs, though The amount of smoke/​smokers can be a problem if that bothers you.

Not a bad sports bar if you’re in the mood for a kick back atmosphere with a lack of air flow leaving the smoke clouds lingering around a bit longer than usual.
Beside the daily happy hour until 8 pm ($ 2 cocktails and a $ 1 off everything else) and the live music Thursday & Saturdays, they generally always have some deal/​event going on:
Monday (all night) — Cheap beer $ 1.75 drafts & ½ off wings all night (20 wings for under 7 bucks!)
Tuesday — Karaōke, $ 3 U-​call its, $ 1 tacos
Wednesday — Bikini bingo (starts @ 9pm), $ 3.75 jumbo beers, $ 6.50 pitchers, $ 4 bombs
Thursday — $ 3 shots, $ 3.75 jumbo beers, $ 2.50 frozen screwdrivers
Friday — Happy Hour
Saturday — Happy Hour
I’ve been here on several occasions and don’t have any noteworthy complaints, though I didn’t go in with that high of expectations, maybe that’s where they got lucky, ha. Service is a hit and miss as previous reviews had mentioned, tbh just sit at the bar they are always dead on and quick on your drinks, not to mention great conversation. The bikini girls are rather annoying with their raffle sales on Wednesday (again not really a noteworthy complaint, since 1. I don’t want to purchase them to begin with 2. I don’t want to purchase them a drink or flatter them with mindless banter).
Cheap beer, decent food, kick-​back, with the bonus smoke plume that never seems to dissipate (air flow people, air flow for the love of my lungs!)

As far as divy sports bars go this place is good. They have plenty of TVs and the waitresses are pretty much all smokin hot and very friendly.
I’m not a huge fan of bars that let you smoke inside though. I mean really — it’s 2011 — get with the program… Sorry Smokers, I use to be one of you but it’s just not cool to smoke inside.
They have plenty of cold beer by the pitcher and loads of chicken wings. Nothing super special sets this place apart from other sports bars…

This place is garbage. The service could be the worst around, the food goes with the service. I have yet to find worse pool tables and the place is filthy. There is this sleazy feeling when you enter the place. They have these big fat security guys who treat everyone like crap, kind of like a strip club. In the men’s room, above the urinals check out the Playboy pictures they cut out and have hung, it really adds to the class of this place.

I came here the first time that I visited Eric’s family and friends in Conroe, and also this most recent trip as well. We went for the karaōke, because that’s what we do.
First, it is a sports bar, so when you walk in, prepare for your ADD to kick in hardcore at all the screens they have playing 4 thousand different sporting events. This most recent trip, we went on the last game of the NBA finals — and there was also a racing event on, I think, as well as an UFC fight and something on the Independent Movie Channel.
The karaōke is good — the books are huge and the selection of songs is vast. The host plays awesome 80s and 90s hip-​hop in between rotations («Yoooooou, you got what I neeeeeeeeeeeeed…» etc.) and he seems to be a pretty nice guy. There’s a lot of great singers here as well — be prepared to get your country on (we’re in TEXAS, duh) or it may take you a while to win the crowd over (see also: ME).
The service is hit or miss — I actually got my beers quicker when it was crazy busy on NBA finals night than I did the very next night when it was DEAD. Of course, this may have been because that second night, I was part of «THAT table» — you know the ones who all sing, and are hootin’ and hollerin’ and cheering everyone on? (see also: the obnoxious table)
But it was my last night in Texas for this trip, and it was the best place I could have had it — surrounded by new friends, lots of drinks, lots of laughter, and lots of good singing.

The staff is friendly, the general population varies from all over, depends on the night for the most part.
They recently changed out the menu for bar food and I’m not impressed. Get some Taco hell down the street and save your anus the trouble.
Did I mention the beer was cheap?
