My daughter has only been attending Progressive Montessori for 1 month and so far she loves it. Her classroom is the toddler room and what i love about it is, the monthly journal log of her daily activities. Its a fairly small school but it is very neat and the classroom are well organized. They state that it opens at 630am but there have been a few times that it has opened a little past 630am. Other than that so far as a parent I am pleased with the school.

My daughter has been attending Progressive Montessori since 2011. I cannot find words that adequately describe or express my feelings toward the school, the owners, directors, teachers & staff. Everyone is simply… AMAZING! I have been very much involved in the school since the beginning, and in all that time I have been met with enthusiasm, kindness, and love, FROMEVERYONE! I KNOWFOR A FACT that the teachers, directors, and staff treat EVERYCHILDWITHDIGNITYANDRESPECTWITHTENDERNESSANDLOVE but what is most important to me is my child’s safety. I know that my daughter and every child at Progressive Montessori is safe and well taken care of. One last but not least topic I would like to address is the education my daughter is receiving at Progressive Montessori. ITISEXCEPTIONAL! It has been a joy to see her blossom into the young lady she is today. She is confident and poised. She is reading and writing. She has become a bright and intelligent child with a thirst for knowledge that can only be attributed to the caring and well qualified teachers at Progressive Montessori I am in awe of the teachers everyday. They have grace under pressure, they love their job, they simply love to be with children and to watch them flourish. I recommend Progressive Montessori

We swore by Progressive for many months with our infant twins. At first, they had a teacher in the infant room and an assistant at all times. The teacher was pretty good and the assistants kept the kids clean and fed. During the summer, the teacher leaves and it just becomes a daycare which is not what we paid for. So, we figured when school was back in session, we were assured, that a Montessori teacher would come back, and that didn’t happen. I was told they may not even get a teacher in the infant room. Keep in mind that infant in the Montessori world is generally up to 18months so not having a teacher for 12+ month kids, is not what we wanted. The other issue that made us leave was me overhearing a teacher SCREAMING at a kid. I inquired to the staff who sat at the desk and she assured me she would go check into it. She came back and told me it was the teachers son but I was NOT ok with my children being exposed to that kind of behavior. The final thing that sealed the deal was my son getting Hand, Foot and Mouth, and finding out there was another kid at the school that had it and no one was notified. I was also upset to find out that teachers were coming into the class asking: what is wrong with him?” I can’t imagine my son felt very comfortable with people staring at him and giving him funny looks. Last, the director that works in the mornings is very rude. Daily, I carried in twins in carriers, by myself. She would just sit at the desk and stare at me when I walked by, often just sitting there not working, on the phone, etc. Unbelievable. We left on a Thursday, found the MOST amazing Montessori called Klein-Spring and havent looked back. Klein-Spring Montessori is a WORLD of difference compared to Progressive and I actually feel bad for parents who havent seen Klein-Spring because they have no idea what they are missing.

By the age of 18 months, Mackenzie had been in 3 daycares. I was beginning to worry that we wouldn’t find the right place. As an elementary school teacher, I am very picky where I want to send my daughter all day. I have extremely high expectations of how she will be treated as well as what and how she will be learning. A friend of mine recommended Progressive. I am so glad that I took her advice to go see it. As soon as I walked into the doors, I was welcomed. Her Toddler 1 teacher, Dixie and Jenn, welcomed Mackenzie in like their own. They kept me informed daily of how she was adjusting as well as what they were learning. Within a week, she was acting and performing like she had been there from the beginning. Now Mackenzie is 29 months, and we have been there for almost year now. I am truly, truly thankful that I was recommended to send Mackenzie here. Mackenzie has grown so much academically as well as behaviorily. Her verbal skills are advanced. I love the fact that they teach signs, Spanish, and even help with potty training. She loves to do her work, (and even plays school at home) and is so truly excited to go to school EVERYDAY. Before, she was so scared to be left at daycare. Now, she feels safe and comfortable at school and so do my husband and I. If you are looking for a loving, nuturing, academically focused school, this is such a great place to start your child for his/her academic future.
