This is the WORST nail experience I’ve ever had. If you’re debating whether to read because it’s long, just do it. It’s incredulous. I came in and showed a pic of thin white French nails that were short but protruded a bit longer than the skin, and showed another picture of THICK white nails and said that is what I do NOT want. She proceeded to cut my nails super short, not a bit over the edge like the pic. So when I said too short she said okay I can make longer with the white. With this in mind, I thought she would start the white very far at the edge, but she started the white almost halfway down my nail(and she had to make them longer — how was this NOT going to turn out thick?) Seeing this, I asked her to make sure they were going to turn out thin, once again, and she kept giving me responses with the tone of «I know what I’m doing, you don’t» and said«I’m not done yet.» So I waited 10 more minutes while she filed down my entire right hand. After complete but in that rough stage, I said«is that going to be thinner? Because again I don’t want it thick.» AGAIN. She just grabbed for my left hand. I said«please I don’t want to have you go through all this trouble to have them be wrong and have to do it over…» At this point the manager came over and Sophia began on her tirade — for 5MINUTES — explaining how I wanted them short but then they were too short so she had to make the white thick and bla bla it’s all my fault in 900 different ways. I interrupted 3 different times calmly to ask when I could speak and if she would like to talk or if I could talk and she said«I would like to talk thank you» and continued. WHAT?! Wow. I literally sat back in my seat, hands in my lap, and waited until she felt she was done. It seemed like forever. When I finally got my turn(and completely taken aback by this point and all flustered at her complete and utter disregard for me) I explained what had really happened. The manager took me over and said she would fix them herself. I thanked her. Sophia walked to the Employees Only room while I was still talking to the manager and moving to her station across the way. When she was inside the break room, she turned around and through the crack in the door mouthed a BIG«SHUTUP.» with force, and slammed the door. Whaaaaat. Then, as I was getting my nails fixed, Sophia came back out of the break room and said, and I quote, «You know, just because you are paying customer, it does not make you any better than all of us. You aren’t better than us! .» And continued with idk what because I was just so in shock. But now I’d figured it out. She already had a chip on her shoulder for Americans and was ready to «tell us off». I quickly told her I don’t think I’m better than anyone, not even the homeless man on the street, and never said that, would never say that, didn’t even have much money, and never treated her rudely but in fact SHE had been the rude one not letting me speak at all to her manager, slamming doors, etc. It was as if she was projecting her superiority complex on me. Weird. So at that point, I requested to speak with the owner on the phone who was very nice, and he gave me today complimentary(however they are still too thick — only way to fix is start over, which I had suspected and alluded to since the very first thick white powder was placed), and he apologized profusely. No word from Sophia though. She never showed her face again! Thank goodness! I went to wash my hands from the oil and saw in the mirror I had broken out in hives. This is how much she had upset me! When I saw that, I knew this was not right. I give 2 stars because the owner and manager were so nice. Maybe Sophia was just having a bad day, or on her monthly, or maybe she just needs another job where she doesn’t have to talk to customers, or Americans, at all. I’ve included 2 pics below — it’s hard to tell in the photo how thick the white really is in the picture of my hand. However at the end of the day, it wasn’t really about my nails or nitpicking thickness at all, it was how I was treated and how I’m still shaking from the whole experience.

I was really disappointed with my $ 54 deluxe pedicure. It was not worth $ 54. First taking off the shellac, the woman filed my skin in addition to the shellac on the nail. Second, I had already cut down one of my big toenails due to an accident; the same woman cut that nail down further without evening out the same toenail on the other foot. Third having shellac put on once again, the skin surrounding the nail was not cleaned. The work looks shoddy and messy. The one saving grace was the massage.

I definitely recommend this place to everyone. Every time I go here, the ladies take time to do my nails to make sure they all look good. The place is clean. The price are reasonable too. This is my favorite place so far.
