Apparently if you buy a brand new Xbox and get a game in a bundle, take the plastic off or you’ll be treated as a thief.

Was in the store today trying to correct an issue that happened while we were on vacation. I purchased a game out of town for my son and flew home only to find that the game discs were not inside the box. I went to my local GS which is in The Woodlands to explain the problem. After spending 2 hours in the store the cashier AND the manager told me they were not going to replace the game because they did not want to take and«inventory hit» on their store. After I explained to them I should not be penalized for the mistakes of the franchise, I was then told(in front of my 4 children) I was a liar and they couldn’t prove that I had the game at home and I would just be trying to get another one. I walked outside the store after I requested to talk with the other manager and the clerk said he was going to call mall security. I called the 1800 number on GS website and was given fantastic customer service. a new game mailed to me… and reported the 2 employees for the bad customer service to a mother and her 4 children. I will NEVER shop GSEVER again… especially this location. I left in tears and felt harassed and insulted. BEWARE.

I pre-ordered the deluxe version of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and paid up front. The day of delivery, I went to the Gamestop in the Woodlands Mall to pick it up. The Gamestop clerk couldn’t find my pre-order, and after a 15 minute search that involved the manager, they finally found it. Turns out that the manager wanted to see what was inside my game, so he had ripped the box open, opened all the packaging, poked his grubby fingers all over MY property, shoved all four disks into a single paper sleeve and scratched them, then dumped this mess in front of me, expecting me to pay for it like it was a new game. Then he looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for a refund. In legal terms, this is called«Malicious destruction of property.» At the point where I have a bill of sale noting that goods belong to me, when Gamestop’s employees(or in this case, the manager at this gamestop) decides to destroy *MY* property, I consider this criminal behavior. I will never shop here again. I get better customer service, more timely deliveries, and undamaged goods from Amazon.

Blah, it’s an overpriced game store in the mall. If you want to browse or trade in games. Go for it. Or if you need something IN the mall IMMEDIATELY. But I’d still just say buy it online and quit feeding these kind of stores. Or get it from Best Buy, etc, where the price is at least going to be fair’er. Why pay 20 for a used game when you can get it for 20 new online???
