I live in a neighborhood very close to this place so it’s convenient for me to drop in or get this to-go. It’s a typical hole in the wall barbecue joint with good food! I personally really enjoy their chopped beef sandwich with potato salad as a side. The potato salad isn’t the best, but the burger is pretty good. There are multiple barbecue places in the area, but if you’re looking for something quick and good, I recommend you try this out!

I pass by this place everyday when picking my kids up from school and thought I’d give it a try… Well that was a mistake and a waste of money. The BBQ sauce taste like something on the shelf of the corner store. The sweet was a joke considering it was sweetened with Sweet and Low or Equal… Seriously this is Texas use real sugar lol. I chose the safe route and got a brisket sandwich, tasted like a sandwich you could purchase from the frozen section of Kroger or HEB. This is definately not a hidden gem I would recommend. Rubys BBQ is hand down better than this place and I’m only comparing to them because they are commercialized. Corkscrew BBQ is where you need to go in Spring/Woodlands

The lady is rude and seemed like we were bothering her. So fine, we hoped the food would be good. Rib plate had 2 ribs. Salty, that’s it. Wife had pulled pork that look and tasted like old beef jerky from a dip can. Only saving grace was the potato salad. That was delicious. Not enough to return.

I will never go again. The food was NOT made to order OR fresh. Bad customer service as well.

Not a good experience at all. It seems that they no longer care about customer service or the quality/consistancy of their food. It is a shame too, it seems that they could have a good thing going if they put a little more care into it.

So yummy!!! Great little place. I love the chopped BBQ sandwich. The normal size is pretty big, the small one is just right with a side and drink. My fave place in spring. I’ve used them for catering before too, big hit and reasonable prices. Kind of small inside and quiet, I usually take it to go and bring it back to the office. Love it!

It’s good food that’s made to order but the menu doesn’t feature as many options as I would like and the actual dining room is always very humid and overly warm. I highly recommend you use the drive through and go eat some where more comfortable!

arguably the best BBQ in the area. The food is excellent but the dining experience is painful. OBVIOUSLY dining in is an afterthought here and that’s probably why most people don’t do it. BUT, if you’re wanting to pick up a pound of chopped brisket on your way home, this is the place to do it!

We are BBQ enthusiast to the tee and have tried many places in the area but this ranks towards the bottom. Their beans are the worst by far loaded with onions and an almost burnt flavor. The portions are small and the atmosphere is dull. Pit Masters is the best by far we have tried.

My absolute favorite bbq in the area. Family owned, decent prices, and fantastic food!

I drove past this place a couple times a day, every day before stopping. Neat place, super clean. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich off the value menu. Perfect lunch portion, good coleslaw and potato salad. A steal for under $ 5.

I ended up here because Corkscrew BBQ was sold out. Insanity! What drew me here was reading reviews from my app. Speed reading them.. . I got the impression this was a bunch of tables in front of someone’s house. To clarity, yes – there is a house adjacent, but Country Time is its own little place – with a drive-thru even! I ordered a ton of meat. Their ribs are fall off the bone good. The brisket was nice, tender and smoky and their sauce a nice complement. I’d definitely come back if those finks at Corkscrew sell out on me again! This place, is a great back up plan!

The stars are for service & speed. We ate here a few months ago and the brisket was some of the driest I’ve ever had. I doubt we go back, especially with PitMaster around the corner.

This place cracks me up… it’s a BBQ joint ran out of someone’s front yard. Janis and I came here because of the Unilocal reviews, and weren’t too disappointed. The sign out front says«Best BBQ in Spring» which I recon is probably true. The pull pork is definitely fabulous — they can do a little upgrading to the bun, but definitely good enough to be call the«best in Spring.» The brisket is also pretty good… need a little more flavor in the seasoning, but delicious enough if you drench it in the BBQ sauce. Potato salad is mustard based, not my thing, but Janis thought it was pretty good, and the slaw leaves a lot to be desired. Janis had the smoked turkey… she says it’s just mediocre. Since we nearly always agree on food 99% of the time, I’d take her word for it. The part that cracks me up? You can go to the bathroom in the family’s garage. Yeah. Now that’s what I call hospitality — extra half star for that.

Country Time BBQ doesn’t look like much when you drive by. You may even miss it if you’re not looking, since it’s in the front yard of the owner’s house. But it’s definitely worth it to come by… I’ve eaten here several times and also did a large takeout/catering event with them a couple of years ago. I think the pork is their best tasting meat by far. It’s excellent! The BBQ sauce is also very, very good, and nicely complex but mild. Sides are a mixed bag, some good, some so-so, with the potato salad being the real stand-out. I don’t much care for the cole slaw here, which has a bit more vinegar than I like. On my most recent visit, I tried the pork ribs and was a little disappointed… The middle of each rib was nice and moist, perfectly cooked and delicious, but the ends were tough and more similar to jerky. Maybe they were cooked too hot or too fast? The owners are always friendly, and the place is comfortable, with a homey, log-cabin look to it. I’ll be back for more of that BBQ pork soon!

From 1996 to 2010 I probably ate 200 to 300 meals here. When they moved to their current location(with in walking distance to my old house) I ate here an awful lot! Now you might ask… «What kind of BBQ would make a man walk a half mile(one way) just to get?» Your answer — DAMNGOODBBQ! Hell, I’d have walked a full mile just to eat at Country Time! They take their time and smoke the meats over a proprietary blend of seasoned hardwoods. It gives the meat a smoky sweetness that’s not too overpowering. And their sauce is spot on too. If you are local to the area, swing in and get a morsel or two. They look like a drive through primarily, but I recommend stopping for a spell and pausing to reflect on life while you eat. That’s the way BBQ was meant to be eaten — low and slow, just like it’s cooked.

I’ve only gotten the chopped beef sandwich and a side of the potato salad(three different times). They are both excellent, easily the best in the Spring or Woodlands area. They have several pick-nick tables out back that are in the shade. I’ll try the brisket tomorrow and update this report.

Located right off of Hanna Rd(not down the side street like on the directions) in a small log cabin building. This place is awesome, I don’t know what they do to the BBQ but everyone that I recommend it to loves it. Chopped beef if good although the baked potato is a small meal in itself. Prices is under $ 10 for a meal and is some good eating if you’re in the area although I prefer to pick up and go.

Nice little barbeque joint… and joint is a good thing… Have always done take-out…but any place that has chili as a side dish has to be good… right? Not the best I’ve ever had but the ribs, brisket and sausage are very tasty… good tangy sauce too… Last night had the three mean combo with sides of chili and potato salad… ribs were juicy and tasty… brisket and the sausage are good with sauce… the chili is very good and the potato salad is cold and creamy…
