Tacos Picantes

I’ve only been here once but I would definitely come again. The tacos I had were delicious-​chorizo and the bbq. The only problem I had was how small the tacos were. You are definitely going to want more than two. The green sauce had a little bit of a kick to it which I enjoyed. The sangria that I ordered was like grape juice almost; it was nonalcoholic and not what I expected. When I tried to explain to my waitress that I didn’t really want the sangria, she just looked at me confused. I should spruce up on my Spanish. Paying was kind of confusing and we waited! for some time before someone came to our table. Keep in mind that they only accept cash!

Authentic mexican food and it has a lot of flavor. I ordered the bbq, beef and chicken. They were small but they stuff it and it’s delicious. Only reason I am giving 3 stars is because I found small pieces of bones in the bbq taco. The bbq was also the least favorite out of the 3. Will definitely try this again and see if the other ones are just as delicious.

So I just wanted some tacos and guacamole! So I searched and found this place. You won’t be disappointed! The guacamole is amazing with freshly made chips! I had the Tacos del carne asada (skirt steak) and wow, I feel like I’m in Mexico! Real authentic tacos! Just don’t forget cash!

My new favorite Joint! Wow! Beef Nachos are amazing, Tacos are amazing, great music and my kids love it! Will be bringing all my family and friends here!

I was in the mood for tacos, really good authentic tacos. Since I was in the burbs visiting relatives, I was doubtful about finding authentic Mexican eats. I of course Unilocaled it and decided to check this place out. This part of town is working class ethnic so a lot of the establishments are authentic. Winner! Service was friendly, restaurant was clean, and the eaters were all of Latin descent (always a good sign). Most importantly, the tacos was muy bueno! I ordered 2 tacos de pollo and 1 al pastor… Delicioso! The al pastor was full of flavor, fresh and tender, should’ve ordered 2! The chicken tacos were good too but having al pastor tacos for the first time really left an impression on me. I feel like this is the taco to judge all other al pastor tacos against. Don’t let the size of the tacos ($ 2) fool you… they are packed with flavor and enough meat that you’ll be willing to pay $ 5 for each. They also have tacos that adventurous foodies love to eat, like the head, tongue, tripe and yummy pork skin. All tacos are $ 2. I also ordered the guacamole ($ 6). It seemed like they must’ve used 2 – 3 avocados with for each order and came with homemade chips. It was made to order so again the freshness was apparently there. Very happy with my order and Tacos Picante. It really is authentic Mexican. Highly recommended.

My friend said the lengua tacos were a little different but my tacos were fantastic, highly recommend eating there because the tacos are $ 2 that’s a great price for true Mexican style tacos
