Found everything I needed & more with no problems. The only negative is the cashier said to me «can I tell you something without you getting mad». So I was like ok? Then she proceeded to tell me that my foundation didn’t match my neck… I went on to explain to her that I’m very well aware of that. I was trying on products at sephora before I went into the store to see if they matched. I don’t think she understood and then told me I need a «yellow toned» foundation.

I would advise anyone NOT to go to this place! I’m from Maryland and have been to immensely better BSS in Baltimore County! I came here on my lunch break because I work long hours and most BSS are closed by the time I get off work. This was the closest to my office.
Anyway, as for the products, I came here looking for a specific type of synthetic braiding hair for box braids I plan to get this weekend. They did have the brand but not in the colors I needed. It was very difficult to tell what they had because everything is mixed around and out of place and the employees do not try to fix it. One employee actually said to me, «Yeah, it’s all mixed around so it’s hard to find anything.»
As for the customer service… this is the main reason I gave this place ONE STAR! I do not expect customer service to be perfect because I know that is not realistic in most businesses, sadly. But this was just awful. Here are some examples listed in the order of when I walked in to when I left:
1. As I walked in a man approached one of the workers and asked the worker how much a certain hat was. The employee responded by saying, «Oh I don’t work here but that guy does,» and pointed to the man behind the counter; who was servicing a very long line at the time. I then watched the employee who claimed he didn’t work there pull out a key and open a jewelry display for another customer. Very odd…
2. I was searching for the hair I needed in the disorganized cluster of mixed brands/​colors while a woman who worked there was standing a few feet from me. I did not realize she was standing there or else I would’ve asked for her help. (I’m not one of those annoying people who stands there waiting to be asked if I need anything). It is her job to notice customers, even before they notice her but whatever. It wasn’t that big of a deal. She’s actually the reason I’m giving this place one star because once I did get her attention she was very helpful.
3. THE WORST PART about this whole experience was the check out process. It took me so long to find what I needed, that by the time I was about to check out I had 15 minutes until my lunch break was over. There was a woman in front of me who couldn’t decide if she wanted a certain product and was taking awhile. There were two registers so when another employee came up I assumed it was to help me. But he just started bothering the girl behind the counter. I asked him if he could please ring me up because I had to get back to work. He pointed at the girl behind the counter and said she will. I then said please I have to get to work (the woman in front of me still hadn’t decided if she wanted the product and the line was now a few people long.) He just laughed and looked at the employee ringing up the indecisive customer and said he didn’t feel like ringing anyone up. I then said pleaseeee sir I really need to get back to work (I now only had 10 minutes left.) The female employee told him he had to ring me up and to just do it.
I’ve never been to ANY business where an employee was so lazy that he couldn’t ring someone up while standing right behind the register!!! I actually had to beg him!

This place carries every ethnic hair and skin product known to man.
Customer service has gotten immensely better since my first review! The people they have on the floor stocking shelves are way more helpful and I notice the owner has hired more people from the community.
Here you will find 100% human hair for weaving. They have a large variety of the common beauty shop weaving and braiding hair in thier synthetic, mixed and 100% human hair forms so that is SUPER convenient and a million products to maintain hair with. They are the better place to go for hair and wigs hands down in all of rockland county.
Note: Make sure if you really like a certain product there to mention it at the register every time you buy it. Otherwise it will not be restocked, this goes for the hair too.
