We worked with MariEllyn for our September wedding across the Hudson in Tarrytown, and they created some of the most beautiful and elegant arrangements I have ever seen!
After speaking with 10+ florists in a 30 mile radius of our venue, MariEllyn was the only one who grasped my concept (English garden theme… everyone else seemed to think we wanted burlap and wildflowers as is very trendy at the moment). We spoke several times exchanging ideas and she was great to work with over email. She was able to work within our budget without making it look like any corners were cut, which was crucial to us.
Day of the wedding her team arrived on time and had everything ready to go. People are still raving about the arrangements and bouquets a month later!

I used Dykstra Florist for our November wedding. They are amazing! Caryl, MariEllyn and the rest of Dysktra Florist were wonderful to work with from the start. We met with them a couple times throughout the year of planning, and they were extremely flexible and accommodating considering I was planning from out of state. They were so fun to work with and made the whole process so great and enjoyable! The flowers were just beautiful — the centerpieces were gorgeous and bouquets were exactly what we had envisioned. I HIGHLY recommend Dysktra to any and all brides out there!

My daughter was married on June 15^th and Dykstra was our florist for the big day. They did a magnificent job creating just what my daughter wanted. They were very generous with their time and brought her floral visions to fruition. Their knowledge and competence creates a relaxed atmosphere which works wonders to calm the hype and tension of planning a wedding. MariEllyn and Carol are consummate artistic professionals, and really decent nice people!

I visited 3 florists before walking into Dykstra Florist. From the second I met MariEllen i knew I had ended my search! First, these ladies have the most outgoing and engaging personalities. They had fabulous photos of all the weddings, bar mitzvahs and other special occasion parties that they have done the flowers for.(believe it or not, 2 places I had been to previously had nothing to show me!). They met the challenge of my budget with my daughters wishes for the look she wanted.
They are amazing to work with. They were also excellent at calming a nervous mother the day before. The day of the wedding came, and I have to say, the results were perfect! Everything looked exactly as planned, if not better. I had a happy bride, and I was thrilled that they came in right at the mid point of my high and low budget. I highly recommend you don’t waste time anywhere else! Plus, they have a beautiful garden shop, I know I will be going straight there next spring! And if these ladies don’t warm your heart, you have to say hello to their adorable puppy! Thank you for helping us to create an awesome wedding!

I grew up in the neighborhood, Dad went here for years, I’m continuing the tradition. You’ll find friendly NY service — by phone and in person. and both an excellent n fresh selection.
best of all, they gave my one true love, Mom, a reason to smile on Valentines Day. «Joel, they delivered in person!, thank you so much». Priceless.
Props to the florist on the phone who recommended I not select «flowers in a box», and props for delivering in the snow.
