Nice atmosphere with a relaxed beach theme. I had Whole wheat blueberry pancakes w/Vermont maple syrup — very good. I liked the added touch of real maple syrup at no additional cost. My husband had a turkey club. The turkey was fresh — no processed cold cut stuff. Overall great experience.

Great food. Slowest service ever. Slow motion. Fried egg Sandy can’t take 30m.? Coffee to go? 15m. And it’s not just a raining Saturday. It’s all the time. Friday, noon 45m to get served.

Went last night for eggs and wound up getting delicious dinner with white tablecloth setting and piano music in the background. The food was excellent and all arrived in a well timed fashion, starting with bread and a delicious oil with herbs and a bit a chees infused. The chicken soup was unreal and I mean UNREAL! Couldn’t get enough of it. We had a few appetizers including sausage stuffed mushrooms. Main courses — shrimp francaise with broccoli over pasta, pasta and meatballs for daughter(daughter doesn’t eat meatballs so I ate them — UNREALAGAIN! Wife and other daughter had something or another and both loved their dishes. One thing that stood out: The chef and manager both stopped by to say hello and to make sure everything was fine. Spoke to them both at length and very, very nice people really concerned with putting out quality dishes. Waitress/server was attentive, caring and friendly — just right! I told manager that the cappuccino was fantastic and he explained that they are shipping in some real high-end blends from Africa and Ireland etc. Don’t know what my ‘blend’ was but it really tasted good. This renovated place is located on Main St. with several other new restaurants. Spring lake is by far the most Norman Rockwell town in Jersey and strolling after the perfect town to stroll after dinner. Excellent prices and great find. Finally, it’s a BYO I believe and they do have some type of jazz/mellow/classical entertainment on most weekends.

Excellent food, and very prompt, friendly service that accommodated some dietary restrictions. Portions were more than ample, and nicely presented. Prices were very reasonable given the quality and service. We look forward to returning frequently.

Cute place, good menu, suggested for leisurely breakfast. Sit outside on a nice summer day is a must.

Pickings are slim in spring lake and this place is pretty busy. The counter help people are pretty ambivalent and spacey. Otherwise the food is ok and gets the job done but i have a feeling if there was more competition in town this spot would either have to up its game or close. Also it should be cleaner

Are you kidding! $ 35.63 plus a $ 6 tip for two cups of soup, a Chicken Salad Sandwich and a skimpy Ruben for lunch! To add insult I asked for lettuce and mayo on the CS Sandwich. There was one layer of lettuce that didn’t cover the entire sandwich. And, I thought they forgot the mayo until a saw a tiny bit in the middle of the bread. On the bill, an extra 25 cents for each! Oh, breakfast is not served all day either. I know it’s Spring Lake, but this is only a glorified luncheonette. We are«locals» and used to come here frequently. NOTE the words«used to»!

We had a great time in this CLEAN and redecorated restaurant. The food was delicious. Dinner service was great and the menu had a good selection. Have gone several times and it is consistent. The new owners are on sight and see that the restaurant«runs like a clock.»

A great addition to Spring Lake. Loved my Greek omelet and super fresh coffee. Prompt, courteous waiters along with hands-on owners make for a wonderful place to enjoy great food.

While in town for a wedding we ate at On Third twice. First we took sandwiches to go and then sat on the boardwalk. We got the BLT which was really very good. The bacon is good quality and the mayo was the conservative amount that I asked for. We also got a turkey sandwich which was your basic offering. Very good value — lots of turkey piled high between two pieces of toast. Prices are kind of high — it was $ 17 for two sandwiches but nothing outrageous. The next day we went for breakfast. I ordered iced coffee and you can tell that it’s double brewed versus just brewed and refrigerated. I had the breakfast quesadilla which was pretty good. Other folks had pancakes and eggs and everyone was happy. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the owner actually told us that they are working on perfecting eggs. All of the staff were super friendly and appreciative of our patronage. I would definitely stop in again. We ate outside for breakfast but the inside décor is super cute and welcoming. All-in-all it was great!

We found On Third Café while attempting to go to Who’s on Third. Since we’re locals, we figured we’d give On Third Café a shot. First of all — thumbs up on the warm, comfortable, beach-themed décor. For an early spring weekday, there was a good amount of customers. Staff was friendly(although a bit green one month ago) and the owner or manager was circulating. Had the manager stopped by our table, I would have talked to her about the Triple Decker Sandwich. One of Who’s on Third’s signature sandwiches was the Triple Decker aka Sloppy Joe. It was the second best sloppy found at the Jersey Shore(Frankie’s is the best). We were surprised to see it on the new On Third Café menu and, since we were craving a sloppy(that’s why we went there!), decided to order it. It was just so wrong. My suggestion to management is this: Don’t serve the previous restaurant’s signature sandwich if you’re not going to get it right. Make it EXACTLY as Who’s on Third made it or take it off the menu. Make a different sandwich that is unique to your restaurant so that us sloppy-lovers become converts to your new, signature sandwich. Make us forget about the old sandwich. So, now we’ll make the trip to Asbury Park to Frankie’s for the best sloppy at the Jersey Shore when we have a craving. Based on other Unilocalers reviews, the food is good so we will try to go back for breakfast.

I was looking for a place to take my wife for breakfast on Mothers Day and came across On Third Café in Spring Lake NJ. The breakfast was beyond awesome, the restaurant was clean and the staff was very pleasant. I met the owner and I can tell you that her heart is in this business big time! They have just started serving dinner and i will be trying that very soon! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Ordered a filet mignon sandwich on garlic bread. Came out on a stale roll not garlic bread. Was a small thin steak on a roll uncut so a steak on bread no sauce or seasoning. Joke

I went there for lunch after a recommendation from the Front desk at Le Château. The food was fine, nothing too fancy but the service was amazing. I can’t remember the owner’s name but he was just genuinely pleasant, gracious and very helpful. We really enjoyed our time there.

The waitstaff and owner here are fantastic! Just had a great breakfast, including a super friendly cat named Diamond.(we didn’t eat the cat!) Make sure to ask for that new jersey favorite, the pork roll! They have new ownership here, and they certainly deserve your support.

We recently gave this place another shot as my first experience was not so great. The owner is a sweetheart and the waitress we had was really nice too. We sat outside after a long morning bike ride and ordered some lunch… I thought my tuna sandwich was very tasty. They have a bike rack outside too, which is awesome. I’m happy I gave them another shot!

I don’t like to write bad reviews, but this place doesn’t have their act together. To start off I asked for ice tea and it must have just been brewed because the iceelted within a minute of when I got it and it was lukewarm. No problem except I had to ask twice to get some ice. I ordered fish and chips and asked for malt vinegar and the waitress said she would look but she didn’t think so. After she left, I noticed that there was no tartar sauce, so I had to flag her down and ask for some. She went to get some and it took her forever. It turns out they had to make some. Really? The food was just alright, but they obviously don’t know how to run restaurant.
