Jesse’s Fresh Food and Juice Bar

Just went there for the first time and got the half order of salad #3 (mixed greens with apples, blueberries and walnuts) with Apple cider vinaigrette dressing and it’s really good! Nice and light lunch for summertime. The half salad was plenty big enough for me. Definitely recommend it and will be back!

I love Jesse’s. The food was great and the smoothies are phenomenal. It’s nice inside and out. The best part is having the satisfaction of being able to see exactly what goes into your food.

My brother and I were looking for a healthy /​vegetarian (for me) lunch spot while we are down in spring lake on vacation. The food here was absolutely fabulous. We ordered for ourselves and our parents. My mom had the berry smoothie with protein, dad and I had the bean burger on pita, almond ice coffee and my brother had their salmon burger and green juice. I even got my baby daughter watermelon and a cookie and they graciously threw in extra watermelon for her. (Which she loved) We are planning on visiting here often while in spring lake– such a great find! (And btw Jesse and the other girls working there were absolutely a delight to talk with, very sweet)

So many times I have intended stopping here and today was my first and only sorry I waited so long. Everything we had was delicious with the added bonus of friendly, great people working there

Decided to go in one morning after going to the Bagel Basket next door (bagel basket is the best ever)… Me and my friend wanted to try a smoothie. When we got our… Mind you $ 9 small smoothie… It was absolutely disgusting. We couldn’t even choke down half of it. Not to mention that the woman who served us had an attitude since we were indecisive about what smoothie we were going to get. This place was once an Italian ice place. And it should never have changed. How does one justify charging $ 9 for a small fruit smoothie when rejuiceination is just five minutes away in manasquan which is 200x better and cheaper. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Don’t waste your time and money. You’re welcome.

I went in there for the first time hearing about her decent freshly squeezed drinks and quick bites. Place was neat, clean and cute. The owner, Jesse on the other hand had quite the attitude. I made a remark about how I really wanted chicken fingers but I was getting married in 16 days and she said okkkk (like a snicker and laughed) really obnoxiously and I was taken back. Then she said they were tossed in oil and baked bla bla bla. This is no way to treat customers when they come in the first time and ask questions.
I asked for the egg white wrap and I guess she knew she was not making any friends with me and she tried to make idle conversation, long story short not only was she not pleasant neither was her food. Her scrambled egg white wrap was a disaster and completely inedible for 7.00. Never again.

Really like this place, they definitely understand nutrition. The owner has a lot of experience and can recommend anything for specific dietary needs. The food is really good and above all fresh.

I love Jesse’s! Fresh, healthy food. Always made to order and new things everyday! You know it is always going to be good!!! The girls are always so friendly as well! I love it here and I would highly reccomend it here.

Stopped in for lunch today and was not very impressed. Coming in, the sign was at an odd angle and I had to lean over to read the menu, this is not a big deal as it seems like most business is supposed to come through the window where the menu is facing. I tried a Jamaican smoothie, chicken curry #2 salad, And the falafel wrap. My food was not that great, but it was clear that the staff was in training still and things might not yet be up to full steam here at Jesse’s. I really hope that things come together because I really love the concept of a healthy smoothie/​salad joint.
Onto the food however…
My smoothie was bananas and ice. That’s it. I ordered one with papaya, mango, guava, banana and ice but only the latter two ingredients made it into the mix.
The chicken salad was pretty good. The chicken had a very nice curry flavor that went well with the salad. Served in a half an avocado was a nice touch as well. And for just 5 dollars, a half salad is a decent value for lunch.
Now the falafel wrap. When I opened my box, I was thrilled to find chips, a cup of veggies in delicious dressing, and a slice of watermelon.(none of which is mentioned in the menu so It made a rather nice surprise) the wrap itself however… Was not very good. It just didn’t work and honesty should not even be on the menu.
¹⁄₃ items I enjoyed, so they get two stars but don’t let this deter you from trying this spot out because even though I ha a bad experience I believe that this place has potential if they can get their act together. Salad was very good, avoid the falafel wrap, and stick around to make sure your smoothie is made right would be my advice

Brand new fabulous juice bar down the short. Had their Hawaiian smoothie — delicious!
