DONOTGOTO Georgie’s Flooring Outlet on Cortez in Brooksville!!! Here goes… We originally had our whole downstairs supplied by them about a year and a half ago(had issues then as well) and then ordered some additional material on 10÷9÷15 to replace water damaged material. We paid and were told it would be a week or so. Every couple weeks we called or went back and were given a new date that the material would be in. We eventually asked for our money back but they refuse. Today my father-in-law we went back for like the 7th time(last time they promised it would be there on 1⁄14) and it still wasn’t there, after 3 ½ months! This time the owner(Georgie I presume, big bald dude with a goatee) was there in the parking lot and we were told to talk to him. We were of course not pleased that we kept getting promised a new date and had keep coming back. Although I didn’t hide my displeasure with the bad customer service, I did not say anything rude or confrontational, and of course I did not curse, call names or raise my voice or anything! Out of nowhere the owner got in my face(like was touching my face with his), cursed and threatened me over and over again that he would assault me, called me stupid among other things. I literally just stood there shocked, probably smirked a few times, and continued the conversation while he did this. My father-in-law was there, and started to call the police at one point… we both just couldn’t believe this guy treats people, let alone customers(who have spent $ 5k+ btw) at his store, like this. So I think I will give him 0 out of 5 stars on the official Matt Facebook review! Be real careful, you can get cheap flooring here, but this place is shady and the owner may LITERALLY try to fight you if you complain about the service. This is is how he treats his customers. What really annoys me is my father-in-law originally ordered the flooring to try to make my wife more comfortable in her last days at our home. After everything, we could care less about the flooring but wanted to be treated right and just get a refund… I know 2 other people who stopped using for fraud/bullying tactics as well. I’m sure there are more out there. I have already filed report with BBB. It has not been addressed as of 3 weeks later. I doubt anyone from this store cares to address this issue considering how they treat customers at their store, but if they challenge this account, do not believe them! I never write bad reviews, this is my first time. I am using time writing this and have nothing to gain, just don’t want to see this place profit from these awful tactics. Don’t go there! Get the word out!

Back on March 24th, 2015, my husband and I went into the store to look at Georgie’s inventory. We asked how quickly the job could be done(while holding the flooring sample we wanted) and were told by Jimmy«5 days». Next day someone came to measure the floors and we were told the flooring we wanted was«backordered». We told them we needed it done before April 27th, over a month. He said it would only take 2 weeks to receive and most likely 2 days to instal. So we gave him the large deposit. Two weeks went by and I received no update about the floors, so I called. I was told by Jimmy that the floors were scheduled to arrive in Orlando on April 17th and they had an expected delivery date of April 20th to the warehouse. I reiterated that the project HAD to be finished BEFORE April 27th. I was assured that it wasn’t a problem but they refused to set up an instal date until the flooring was in their warehouse. April 20th comes and we don’t hear from Georgie’s. I call an hour to closing and am told they will check and call back. They don’t. 10 minutes to closing I call again and am told the supplies aren’t there but they will set up an install date for Saturday, April 25th. They originally told me it would take 2 days to install, and they aren’t open on Sundays. I told them«it has to be no later than Friday the 24th». They finally agree and schedule it for the Friday, April 24th instead. Friday rolls around, the contractors arrive but no supplies. They take a look and say«yeah this will definitely be a 2 day job» and say if the supplies don’t arrive by 3pm they can’t start on that day. Well, of course the materials were not delivered in time. So now we have no choice but for them to start on Saturday the 25th. I talked to someone in the office(I believe his name was possibly Dave) and told them I had zero confidence in them to get the work done before Monday the 27th. He laughed at me for a second, but then put Georgie, the owner, on the phone. Georgie apologized, told me he guaranteed it would be done by the end of Saturday(1 day job despite the guys telling me it would be a 2 day job). He also said that he was knocking $ 100 off of the final price for our troubles. On Saturday the work started and by the end of the day the guys said«sorry, we can’t get it done by the end of the night, we’ll finish on Monday(the 27th)». NO. I called Georgie’s and tell them what is going on and they promised the guys would come back Sunday and finish the job, which they did, but Georgie never told the contractors about the $ 100 off, so there we stood on a Sunday morning, with no way to contact him to confirm it. We ended up having to pay the full price for the final payment. Of course we paid it because there was no sense in arguing it with the contractors who had nothing to do with it, but we were NOT happy that everything Georgie offered/promised was a total lie. Now fast forward to December 2015 and we find the work done was complete garbage too! The seams where the flooring meet are visible and are pulling apart! When the contractors were there they said it would expand and close the gap. It never did. There are also bubbles and dips in the flooring from where they didn’t bother to smooth the concrete underneath. The job was poorly done and I wish I had never given them the business. Now I have to wait to save up the money again to have a good company do it right when I could have just paid someone else to do it right the first time. Do NOT waste your money on Georgie’s!
