I enjoy supporting restaurants in my area and love Frankie’s comfortable casual atmosphere. They offer a variety of traditional Italian dishes with daily specials and wonderful desserts. I especially like the mushroom risotto. The waitstaff treats you like family with smiles and conversation.

Found the food to be average for an Italian restaurant. Service was a bit disappointing and that’s the reason I dropped them a star. Nothing spectacular, it is a nice quaint place but the food is a bit over priced for what it is.

We ordered an appetizer that took quite a while to get, once we got the appetizer and our food came, which also took a while, we never got plates and ended up eating our entire meal on small plates! Our pizza was barely warm. Two times we were offered drink refills but didn’t get anything until the third. Not coming back!

This place is a hidden gem disguised as a dive-y sports bar! Thoughtfully curated menu with fresh ingredients and a great wine list. Our server took care of us and did not make us feel rushed for showing up an hour before they closed. He was professional, personable and fun! We were the only table at 9:00pm on a Saturday night. The best part of our meal was the beef carpaccio appetizer and the arugula with asparagus salad… both were amazing and paired well with their house Cabernet;) My only complaint is how awkward it was having to listen to the other server(who wasn’t busy and hanging out at a table) talking loudly on her cell phone, screaming across the room at co-workers and complaining(right in front of us) about having to actually do work by helping our server carry our food out. That was weird but I guess this place is supposed to be a «sports bar», right? Regardless, we’ll be back next time we’re in town.

The service was good as was the food. The reason I docked a star is because when we arrived the servers were all hanging out and being extremely loud. In fact I heard one of them use the F word. This didn’t go over very well with me and my husband as, but we still plan to return and hope that the servers are quieter in their private discussions.

A good spot for family and friends. We had great service from someone determined we have a good experience. The food was fresh and original – especially compared to typical franchise fare. We will definitely be back to enjoy another good evening.

Really enjoy the food. Had started to frequent on my lunch break, but was turned off being charged almost $ 3 to sub a side salad for fries. That is the same price to add the same salad to any other meal. Pretty ridiculous.

When I say that pizza is one, if not my favorite choice of food, I’m not beating around the bush. It takes a lot for a place to claim a slot in my top 5 all-time but nevertheless I push on to Frankie’s Pizza and Grill. Because I can be biased I always eat at new places(or old favorites) with the ball and chain or better known as the wife, this way I know if a place is legitimate if both of us leave in a wheel barrel, rubbing our bloated stomachs and smiling from ear to ear. We ordered a basic pie, pepperoni and cheese to split, and baked ziti to split. The pizza itself was done up nicely, a slight crunch and the cheese bubbled as you tore away a slice. Unfortunately this particular pizza doesn’t come near the top, nor does it fall to the bottom. I enjoyed the pizza thoroughly however the price tag was far to high($ 23.00) and the 14″ size makes it feel like an overpriced personal pan rather than a take home on Football Sunday. The Baked Ziti was surprising however, leaping ahead of the chain Italian restaurants but this is hardly a challenge. Frankie’s Pizza is more Gourmet Pizza with the price to match. The décor screams simplicity but the bill scowls at your bank account. I like a good gourmet pizza however Frankie’s seems lost on how to make one. Pros: Not many Better than a Chain Restaurant Cons: Price Décor(large crowds bring an annoying hollow sound that makes it difficult to hear the person sitting across from you, and by crowd I mean 8 guests, the total including my wife and myself).

Pizza with olive oil, no sauce, i like sauce, i asked for a cup of sauce on the side, they don’t make it or have any. I like pizza. Its too bad because I am working in town until March, staying next door. Lets see 26 weeks times $ 50 a week easy, hmmmm maybe they should offer sauce. The topping were kinda skimpy too. I hate chain store pizza. My search to purchase pizza continues. I wont be back to frankies. Too bad

I was really excited to have some italian takeout for my last dinner in TN before heading home and I pretty disappointed. My sister who is a local recommended Nelly’s but I wanted more variety, I should have listened. When we arrived to pick up our food they looked very confused and a girl looked at us and said«oh…I never put it in». We were pretty annoyed because we had my sisters order from another place getting cold in the car and we had to wait almost 20 minutes. They offered us a drink(I think she meant water but I said no thanks before I could find out). They gave us bread with our order in what seemed to be an effort to make up for forgetting our order but bread is usually a given at an italian place. To make matters worse it’s not like were super busy or anything, there were at most 8 people there and I saw at least three waitresses. The food itself was ok. The fried mozz was delicious and my chicken piccata was overly acidic… stomach ache! The chicken was nicely cooked though and the pizza was ok(I’m used to Pepe’s in new haven, ct so I’m pretty picky with pizza). I was disappointed by their customer service and response.

I can’t get enough! Their pizza has the best crust and their burgers are phenomenal! I love the flavor of the day crème brûlée and the cannolis are always great!

If I could give it 4.5 I would. Excellent pizza, Excellent service. Restaurant is very nice inside. Not loud with obnoxious music. Pizza was very flavorful with lots of complex flavors in it. Sweet, spicy etc all at the same time. Crust was baked to perfection, not too crisp and not too doughy. Definitely worth the 21.00 price for a 14″ pie. We will be back.

I’m a pretty picky pizza eater. So they make a pretty good pizza here. I love the sauce. It’s really fresh tasting. We always get extra so we can dip our crust in.

I haven’t been back to Frankie’s in about a year because of a terrible experience. So my husband and I decided to give it another try. Terrible mistake! We started out with an appetizer of Spinach and Artichoke dip that was so salty and greasy. My husband ordered the Lobster Ravioli and he wanted to try a side of meatballs, the server who was an older male, kind of got and attitude about his request. The lobster ravioli was ok, not homemade definitely frozen would expect more for the prices, the side of meatballs were cold but tasted ok, nothing special. I ordered a large pizza that was just ok, you can get better pizza from a chain and a better price. The server definitely made this experience worse. No personality, slow and kind of rude. When I asked for a to go box for my pizza it took forever for him to bring it. Then it was too small to fit everything and I asked for a bigger box he mumbled something and walked away to never return. Here is a tip to the owners, having great servers can turn mediocre overpriced food into a place people will come back to. So I will definitely never give this place another chance.

Ehhh. We had a large pizza. This is not a place to bring the kids, BTW. Despite not being full, the service runs a bit slow. For the price I would have expected something more spectacular(i.e. better than Domino’s) or a bit bigger.

Amazing, amazing food. Great service. Take out pizza is AMAZING! I dont reccomend the«takeout» salad. It was on the«lite» side.

Great pizza! I’ve ordered their salads and appetizers before too, and it was all good Mediterranean and Italian style fare. I understand they have live music a few days a week, too. One thing I really like was when my daughter and I were waiting for the pizza to be ready, and man, was she acting up. But instead of chastising her or giving me dirty looks, the waitress gave her a ball of dough to play with. She loved it, and it kept her busy until the pizza came. Very nice touch!

It bugs me that folks in the area don’t appear to «get» real Italian food, but it seems so. The Olive Garden is seen as a «mecca». And now there is, finally, Frankie’s! Relatively new for the area, Frankie’s comes from the lineage of Naples Pizza in New Haven, CT. This place was a Landmark at Yale University. Frankie has headed to warmer climates and we are the clear benefactor. It’s our 5th time here and they are 5 for 5! We’ve had about half the menu so far and haven’t found a bad dish yet. I read the other reviews and I think it’s important to understand what’s here: Drinks — agree, on the pricey side Pizza — it is the best in the area by a LONG shot. Service — Good with people who are nice and attentive. It’s more of a causal family feel and the wait staff enjoy spending time with customers. It’s not fast food or a chain. Don’t expect 10 min lunch service where you scarf down your food. Food — we’re talking made from scratch everything. The food is great, period. I’m not crazy about the table bread they bring, though. Saves me empty calories… ;) Décor — simple, family style. Again, not a chain or theme restaurant Entrance — crowded /small. No big chain lobby. Did I mention this is a «made for scratch» family restaurant. Prices — the prices a higher but not overly so. In Cool Springs, no one would bat an eye. This is the best pizza around but it’s not some pizza joint so don’t go there with that mind set(it’s not Papa Johns) Spring Hill, get your head around a made from scratch family restaurant with a storied history of family developed recipes. This is a fantastic restaurant and you’ve got to try it out. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Stopped at Frankie’s yesterday on a whim. Hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a long long time. Definitely the best in Spring Hill. We sat on the patio on a nice day and were able to have some shade. The server was very nice, and we even received some special attention from the mgr. The inside and first impression when we arrived wasn’t great. But we certainly were glad we stayed. Looking forward to my next visit.
