Second Chance Sheltering Network

Second Chance does not have a shelter — they are a network of foster homes and host pet stores that care for abandoned and abused animals. Their effort in incredible in lieu of not having a shelter location. I’ve seen some of the distraught and hopeless cats that have come their way. Second Chance volunteers «rehabilitate» these animals and help them feel safe and loved again. They are very particular who they adopt out to because they care about the lifetime well being of the animal — not just getting it off the streets.
I found that I shared the same values as this organization and began volunteering with them this year. I encourage you to consider volunteering with us if you care about animals and wish you spent more time with them. It’s very rewarding and the people you will encounter will change your life.

I adopted my cat Lily from Second Chance and it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made! Since adopting her I have also started volunteering with them. They have cats in many different Petsmarts and Petcos around the north and southtowns and even more animals in foster homes. If you’re looking for a new cat/​dog definitely get in contact with them — everyone cares so much about the animals and will help find you the right one!
