More than anything, the Red Lion at the Park is all about location. It’s right by downtown, the Spokane Arena, and — yes — the park! The hotel itself is nice. I attended a conference here and had a good overall experience. The check in was not done well. It took about an hour to get through the line, which is way longer than it should take — even with a large group coming in. Aside from that, my experience was great. The room was well apointed. Ours had a couple of queen beds and a flat screen TV. Nothing amazing, but it met all of our expectations. The food from the catering service was very good, and the prices at the hotel bar were good. Prices are reasonable and I’d recommend check this place out for your next stay in downtown Spokane!

This hotel is awful. I travel often for work and this is one of the worse hotel experiences I have ever had. I stayed 4 nights and my sheets weren’t changed the whole time. There is a ring of mold in the toilet that has been there since I got here, and the rooms have outdated fixtures and smell of mildew. The rokm is poorly lit. There are only two lamps in the room and the lamp next to my bed doesn’t shut off, so I have unplug it at night to sleep. I am travelling for work and I am supposed to have breakfast included in my room. The problem with that is that the breakfast area is so crowded that there is a wait over an hour to get a table for the buffet. With my early meeting schedule I don’t have time to wait that long. When I asked for credit to be applied to my room for the $ 25 breakfast I was told I should wake up at to be down to breakfast when the restaurant opens right at 6. And that came from the manager.

I booked two rooms here for the Halloween party. They took no time to decorate and the stage for the singer was bigger than room for the dance floor. So that lead to everyone just sitting at one of the tables and when everyone is sitting you can’t really see the costumes. The beds were horribly uncomfortable, the sheets smelled dirty, and the rooms are in serious need of a face lift. Only redeeming quality is the free shuttle to get you out of there after their failure of a party.

Red Lion at the park is a mixed bag, so ill review it this way: PROS: Staff is friendly and pleasant. Location is amazing, you are right on the park, so you are central to various locations, such as the convention center, arena, etc. For the most part you can walk to get to where you need to go. The onsite lunch grill is fabulous, great food, prices, and service. I will do a separate review for the grill. The outside pool is awesome there is a water-slide, with a lifeguard on site. CONS: The breakfast restaurant isn’t great, and the service was not so good. You have to schlep your luggage to your room on your own, and good luck finding a cart. We had to ask for a crib 4x before it was brought to our room(we had pre-reserved it months ago), and the crib was not so clean. It’s overpriced in comparison to other hotels nearby; you are clearly paying for the location. Depending on your situation this hotel can work out for you, just thoroughly check it out before reserving anything. Based on my needs I wouldn’t come back here, I prefer the Davenport and/or Holiday Inn… Thanks!

I’d be dead lyin’ if I said the Spokane Red Lion Hotel at the Park was more(or less) than ok. I stayed here for a couple days for a conference earlier this year and would consider staying there again when in town. — The rooms are in need of a makeover … and more lighting — The view of the pool & river was nice — The conference facilities were adequate — Meals served during the conference were barely adequate — The Dam Bar fits the bill for a hotel bar — Convenience to the park and downtown worked out well — Shuttle to/from the airport was super friendly — Actually, most of the staff were friendly — Check-in was easy … check-out easier I’ve stayed at nicer Red Lion hotels, but the Red Lion Hotel at the Park fit the bill for a couple nights along the river in Spokane.
