This place is phenomenal! Came here on a Fri night, super busy, we immediately got a table. We ordered and our food was delivered within minutes. Try not to fill up on the warm, fresh, chips and salsa. The ranco chico burrito is lights out! Top this all off with top shelf customer service.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Spokane! We love it here! The food is amazing. I recommend all of their vegetarian entrées. My husband loves the carne asada. The service is amazing! They are all so friendly and treat you like family.

Our favorite place for Mexican food. Very kid friendly. They are always great to us when we bring our two kids in. The service is so fast and they are on top of drinks and chip refills. Family friendly, good food, good service… what else could you ask for?

My husband took me here the other night, we just moved to Washington a week ago. Rancho Chico was great. We both ordered the chicken enchilada plate, with one kiwi and one strawberry margarita to share. They(and the food) were delicious and large. Plus the service was good. We will be coming back. :)

We went to Rancho Chico last night and had a great time. The meals were hot fast and delicious. We eat there about 4 times a month and rarely are we disappointed. They are always on top of drinks and chips. We usually have polished off a set of drinks and chips before the main meal. That’s only because we love the chips… And if you ask them ahead of time you can get even more authentic Mexican meals. Try asking them if they were cooking for themselves what would they have…

very disappointed food was bland, waiter was efficient and did his job but NO personality he could have been serving food to tree stumps. Also, they were seating every one on one side of restaurant and the other side completely open. We were in a side booth and they had 2 large tables with 8 or more people next to us and it was very crowded and noisy. Still prefer Tecate Grill for good Mexican food.

I always enjoy my food here but EVERY time I go to this location the same male employees stare at me and it’s very uncomfortable. Doesn’t matter if I’m there with family or with a significant other I feel like they are staring at me. Ugh.

Been coming here for over 20 years and to their location on Northwest Blvd since it opened. I’ve even been to the one in Omak. All have great service, great food, and an extensive menu with all the items you would expect. Chili relleno is done right with a stuffed fresh pepper. Chili Verde and Colorado are always good. This place could compete with those back home in Arizona.

Great prices and service. Chips and salsa are my favorite part to Mexican food and they have great salsa. Some of the menu items I don’t care for but the enchiladas are very good.

I was one of 3 people in the restaurant and they didn’t take my order for over 30 minutes. I ordered a quesadilla($ 9.25) and I got a flour tortilla with some cheese microwaved on top of it… I’m usually the most flexible person in the world but this was pretty bad. I sadly won’t be going back :(.

The food just ok, nothing special that’s for sure. The service good, the décor nice. As my husband is in law enforcement and travels across the county, we watched an employee go out the back and do a drug deal with some of his buds who pulled up in the back. So what’s going on with that? It was pretty low rent too, not too secretive about their activity either, but then again drugs don’t make you smart! Hummmmm, we won’t patronize places like this.

Did a quick search for a nearby Mexican restaurant and ended up here. The inside was pretty awesome with all sorts of amazing artwork and decorations. If you have children they will love the unique seats and might actually argue over who gets to sit on the coolest seat. The wife had a carne Asada burrito that was pretty big and I got a chimichanga with shredded beef. We both agreed that this is just a nice local restaurant that is a nice setting for the family to get together at. Nothing about the meals screamed unique, just plain Mexican food. The service was great and the food got out fast! Hope you enjoy your stay like we did!

We were not impressed with the food or our server. The food was cooked well, and plated nice but had absolutely no flavor. Our server was indifferent and acted like he did not understand things. Then when some regulars came in he was totally different with them. The menu here reads like every other Mexican restaurant in the area. Guess we will have to go over to Hood River to get some authentic Mexican flavors.

I used to like this place a lot more because the food is pretty good, but they really need to clean it up. Last time my wife and I were there, there were flies everywhere. We were literally swatting flies away as we tried to eat our meal. The place is also just generally drab and run-down looking. I still recommend it for the food but I’m not sure I will go back until it looks like they’ve put a tad more effort into the place.

So while visiting Spokane i sought out the help of my fellow Unilocalers to find a really good Mex restaurant. Unfortunately i found Rancho Chico in Spokane off Division. The place is clean enough and while it doesn’t look like much on the outside, it was comfortable and has a huge menu. I had wanted to find more of a authentic experience and maybe have some a la carte carnitas tacos but this place, much like many so called authentic Mex restaurants serves a ton of overly cheese filled items. I ended up ordering Tacos al Carbon which are supposed to be crispy shelled tacos. I ordered mine with carne asada but when they arrived they were soo oily and flaccid and not crunchy(or firm) whatsoever that i just ate the carne asada inside instead. In their favor, i give them props for the delicious refriend beans and rice sides. These items are often bland and a side note in other restaurants. Will not be returning.

My family has been coming here regularly for 20 yrs. We aren’t experts on «authentic» Mexican food, but we like this place! It’s your typical greasy Mexican food– beans swimming in lardy cheese, mass produced chips and tortillas, etc. I really like their mild salsa. Shrimp was ok. Rice was average. I like their décor– very fun. There were several annoying flies on our last visit. Not fun to eat with. I personally wouldn’t keep coming here so often, but my parents haven’t shown any signs of stopping in 20+ years, so I bet they’ll help rancho Chico stay in biz!

Nervous about Mexican food after moving from Washington, DC. Nervous about any food, really. Tomato Street was potentially the worst Italian food my wife and I have ever had. With that nervousness in mind, we tried Mexican in N Spokane. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere. We’ve been to Mexico a dozen times and this place felt like it could be tucked away on the Yucatan. We were sat immediately on a Tuesday night by an older gentleman with a Latin accent. He was courteous and quick about getting us a seat. The menu and beer selection here are INCREDIBLE. Any combination you can think of is available. Tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chicken, steak, pork, salsa verde, mole, you name it. I had a chicken taco, chile relleno, enchilada combo that was cooked well and was certainly the volume you’d expect for the price. The ingredients were standard Mexican fare. If you have a desire for Mexican food and beer in N. Spokane then this place doesn’t seem capable of disappointing. Don’t expect the place to be white tablecloth or high end. Then again, is there a place in Spokane that is? I was tossing between giving this 3 or 4 stars but it completely met expectations for a Mexican restaurant and was an encouraging restaurant for us newbies to the Spokane area. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I have eaten here twice and that was enough. While we’ve had perfect service, the chips taste funny, they were out of Patrone and the food was swimming in grease that was separating from the rest of the soupy meal. Place could use a good scrubbing down and for goodness sakes, replace the torn up flags around the outside of the building. I know it’s winter but that’s been torn up a while. Less grease, stock your tequila & bar, clean up your building and change your chips. I’ll be eating elsewhere even tho the service was excellent!

My family has lived in North Spokane for nearly 30 years and we have been going to Rancho Chico for as long as I can remember. While Rancho Chico may not look like much from the outside, the place just has great food and a cozy atmosphere. I brought very picky friends from out of town to «The Ranch» recently and they were impressed. The service is also fantastic. Most of the servers know my family and what we typically order. They are not in your face — but are incredibly friendly and helpful. Many of the same staff has worked here for decades. It’s great to be able to come into a restaurant time and time again and see the same friendly faces.
