Daley’s Cheap Shots

I’m a bartender so my critique might be a little harsh, but I know what I should expect for service… wasn’tvery busy and there were at least 2 bartenders, which never came out from behind the bar, and they said they were too. busy to pull some pull tabs… the place just lacks personality. And the. number one reason I won’t be back… They have no Red bull.

The food is good. Atmosphere can be… BUT, the service is crap! If your not a regular you get treated like a second class citizen, God forbid if you call the bartender on her lack of punctual service even if there is 2 more behind the bar and only 4 people sitting at the bar itself, you will get cussed at, belittled and nearly challenged to a fight! Not what this place used to be. If you want to go in and eat head down your good not the place to go for fun if you don’t go there on a regular basis…
If you have an issue with the staff don’t bother trying to reach the owner, he is unresponsive and will dodge you at all costs. Like I said though good food but that’s about it.

Diamond in the rough I tell ya. Once you navigate through the holes in the parking lot and get inside you will be delighted with the food, drinks, and atmosphere.
I have been to Cheap Shots about 4 times now. They have done a great job of renovating the place inside and out from what it was before. If you are a biker, you will love the drive in gate and parking area outside. I am not, but its a great concept and layout. I know they have live music and such but I have never attended those events. I’m guessing they are worth seeing though.
What I can tell you is they have great f-​ing food. I’ve had the burgers as well as breakfast a few times. Nice to see a variety of different style burgers you won’t see anywhere else. And they are all great! Me and the wife have had breakfast there a few times and we will definitely continue to go back. Their breakfast sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had. Even the potatoes that come with are better than most all hashbrowns. It really is that damn good and 2 people can share one sandwich easily. Also, if you’re a fan of bloody mary’s, its worth going just to try theirs. Also one of the best I’ve tried.
Lastly, I’d like to comment on cleanliness of the place. They do a great job. I know it was a super dive before it became cheap shots. They’ve done a ton of work and they have kept up on the maintenance. Its one of the cleanest places I’ve seen. I definitely think getting the parking lot holes addressed would be worth looking into though. It would definitely deter a lot of hot rod and show cars from entering.

I tried Daley’s after hearing their burger was worth a stop. I have to admit that I hesitated in the parking lot but was pleasantly surprised by how appealing the interior and back patio is — nothing pretentious but spacious, neat and clean. I enjoy taking friends out to lunch here but also totally comfortable to be solo for a couple of hours using their free WiFi signal. I have only been during the day when it is fairly quiet but it looks like a fun place to meet friends to get merry and good place to see a band. The service is consistently a treat — attentive and eager to please. All that said, the biggest reason i keep going back is the jalapeño burger is AMAZING — fresh ingredients, no preformed patty and bun toasted to perfection — I go back at least once a week for my fix!

The reader board on Trent reads — best f’n burger in town. Sure you think, looking at this tiny place behind a pot-​hole ridden parking lot. Amazingly, they aren’t lying. Juicy, hot, seasoned on grilled bun — just perfect. And the fries — oh my are they perfect. Go ahead and order a second helping after you eat the first one. Don’t forget the onion rings — tasty, hot, gone in seconds.
Small interior with the usual bar fixtures — pool tables, dart boards, etc. The service was great — which is unusual for bar type establishments.
I liked that they brough all the condiments to your table so you could dress your burger and dip your fries in yummy ranch, tartar, bbq and more.
I raved about the food and was told to come back and try the breakfast which is even better — which I will.
