My wife and I had the lunch buffet which was rather mediocre compared to other Indian restaurants. Compared to Seattle, this place wouldn’t stand a chance staying open, but for Spokane I guess it’s OK if you are craving some semblance of Indian cuisine. Anyway, when the server came with our check, I handed her a certificate which she refused to honor stating that they are not eligible for the buffet. Nowhere on the certificate does it state any restrictions for use other than the minimum check amount before it can be used(which we easily met). I really doubt we will be back after this bad encounter.

Would almost call it Mexican-Indian fusion. The lamb kebabs came slathered in a tomato sauce with peppers and onions and a chunk of lime. None of the dishes were authentic or even recognizable Indian flavours. Pass this one up.

On a recent trip to the area I went to Top of India for the lunch buffet. I’ve probably had Indian lunch buffet at a dozen other restaurants throughout the west, and this was definitely the worst. I sampled all the vegetarian entrees, and there were about four of them. They were all very mildly spiced, apparently catering to folks who aren’t used to bold Indian flavors. The naan was cold and stale, which to me is an indication that the lunch business is slow because most Indian buffets are busy enough that the bread never has time to get stale. The one woman working in the restaurant was either extremely shy or just having a bad day. She probably spoke three words to us the entire time we were there. The restaurant was also extremely cold, so much so that the buffet plates felt chilled when I picked them up. This was a great disappointment overall, and I won’t be back.

Service is good. But food was quite bad. They suggested we try the«Chicken Madras». It was horrible.

We have been visiting this place for many years and have always had a great experience. We got the shock of our lives when we asked the Indian lady(who I presume was the owner) if she can check a couple of Groupons we bought in 2013 for validity before the bill was given. She said they were not valid since they were already used. That was fine with us and we even apologized. She did not bring us the bill so I went up to the counter to pay. She then proceeded to accuse us of abuse by reprinting a voucher(which we did not do) of the system and asked us not to come back! Very rude and very inappropriate for a business owner. We are definitely not coming back! We wish this lady an attitude change and better customer relations. Not good for business especially when this goes to the Better Business Bureau! P. S. I was not allowed to post this until I assigned a number of stars to this post. It definitely didn’t deserve not even one.

Not good. Bland food. The goat curry was mostly bone, including tiny sharp bones. Palak Paneer was watery and bland. The Butter Chicken had no flavor. The naan was burnt. I won’t be back.

Enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch today. There was a good variety to choose from — on either the first or second time through. Yes, I thought it was that good.

Maybe I was just here in a bad day but this buffet experience was one of the worst ever. To begin with the buffet is very limited in choices. To top this off, there was practically no food available and no one was in any hurry to get food up there. Very little rice, no butter chicken, no bread? We waited a good 20 minutes before any of this was out up there. No apologies, no acknowledgement of a problem. To Make matters worse, the food was very average… I have had better several times over. I would look elsewhere.

Food was authentic & delicous! The ambience was warm & inviting with a contemporary style. We had butter chicken, chicken tiki masala, chicken vindaloo, raita & naan bread. All of it had AMAZING flavours. Our service was impeccable, friendly & inviting. I wish I lived closer to here because if I did I’d be there at least twice a week! I’ve eaten a lot of Indian Food and this place is #1 in my book! EATHERE& you won’t be disappointed!

Waited for 30 minutes before the waiter said they have too many back orders that they cannot serve us or will take 1.30hrs more. Worst customer respect! Spokane you deserve a better indian place and hospitality! Strict NO from my side

Hmm… Picked up an order to go last week & asked if sauces were in bag. Got home to find they were not~ Huge disappointment. In turn, they were accommodating with our order yesterday & comped our order of samosas. Although my partner is happy with the cuisine, I am still not completely sold on it. So-so.

While I agree that the food here is excellent… probably best Indian food I have had in the Spokane area I was appalled to hear that the wait staff is not allowed to claim their tips. The restaurant pockets 100% of any tip money that you leave and gives none of it to the waitresses or hostess. I have heard this from current and past employees. I am not even sure it is legal. While I love the food I will hesitate to go again because that is complete BS.

Love it! Ordered the Chicken Biryani and garlic naan. Can’t get any better. I am half Indian and Mexican and my father used to make delicious Indian food. This is authentic for sure. I haven’t ordered anything else off the menu mainly because most stuff I can make myself. For some reason the Biryani is the only thing I never learned to make so when I get a chance and find someplace that can make it good that is my default choice. My only complaint would be I wish they gave a larger amount of raita with it, traditionally it is served with a larger bowl for the given amount of dish. I end up ordering two extra sides of raita. I would like to go back and order some other items off the menu. Can’t speak much about service as I always order to go, but it’s family run and the girls in there seem very nice every time I pick up!

I have never had Indian food before and let me tell you, after eating here I love it! The food has great flavor, very tender and cooked perfectly. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star review is because we ordered a Peach Martini and what we received was a mixed berry concoction that did not taste good and she said she recommended this over what we ordered and did it without our consent. Other than that wonderful experience. I will definitely com here again!

Delicious and authentic. We ordered two appetizers, I sadly, can’t remember the names. One had cauliflower and the other was potato cake type things with chick peas. They were superb. We ordered the goat meat curry, and asked the waiter to surprise us with another dish, which was tikki masala with lamb. We got them both with medium heat, it’s a little mild, so if you like spicy, make sure you order it spicy. I got the Indian chai, it was delicious. For dessert, we ordered the milk dumplings and the ice cream, both were amazing, the texture of the ice cream was a little funny, but good none the less. We’ll be going back.

I travel for a living and this is my favorite restaurant in the NW. The smell when you walk in the door makes my mouth water. Order the Lasuni Gobi as an appetizer. Garlic sautéed cauliflower that is amazing. The naan is fresh and delicious. Chicken tikka Masala is outstanding! I order it every time… When I think of ordering something else I always end up coming back to it.
