I love this place! We live just outside of Spencer with our 10 year old son and one month old daughter. When we need to get away to have an hour out two to ourselves, we take the kids to the in laws and we’ll take the scenic drive to this place. The road getting there may seem a bit rugged, but soldier on! Once you get there, you’ll be greeted by the owner or one of his polite staff. A tasting is only $ 5 for 5 tastings and the amazing wine itself is worth the trip. He has unique flavors like Persimmon and plum. One of my favorites is his hard cider made from apples! You can bring a growler and have it filled up for only $ 15. It’s a bubbly, fizzy masterpiece. Over all, this place is worth the trip to see a bit of the local flavor.

As a person that grew up in this area it is really exciting to have a winery. While visiting over 4th of July weekend I tried it. I’m no wine expert, so I’ll review atmosphere and service:

Wine dog, how can you not love Vino the dog?
Weekend entertainment (I can’t say enough how nice it is to have this in a rural area that once held a parade because McDonald’s opened — these people need entertainment :)
