I’ve been to COTW twice now for a work conference in November. The housing I was placed in feels very clean and new. Our room was spacious with a king bed and bunk bed, copious amounts of hanging space, and private bathroom. The heat was cranked up so high we had to sleep with the fan on… not sure that’s really something to complain about, though! I think we were in the nicest of the housing options, so you may want to scope out your specific accommodation possibilities before deciding. I have been to a good number of these places, and COTW has some of the best dining. There is always a solid salad bar and I am consistently impressed with the desserts(taking into account that it’s camp food, of course). It looks like there is a ton to do outdoors(mini golf, tennis, lake), which unfortunately can’t be enjoyed in November. The view of the lake is beautiful, though! One improvement I would love to see them make is adding some clearly marked hiking trails. I assume their property has space for them, and if they already exist they weren’t advertised in a way I could find out about them! I toggled between three and four stars, so take this rating as a high three!

We had our regional convention at «camp of the woods», it’s a beautiful campus and superb facilities! The food is tremendous and the accommodations are excellent! I will come back anytime that I can and would highly recommend this camp and staff!

I go here every year for 3 nights for a work conference. I love the getting away cabin feel you get. You are defiantly away from the city rush rush feeling, and feel like you can just take a deep breath and relax. They have a sports complex I would give 5 stars to if I was just rating that, it is world class. There’s a few basketball courts that look similar to any big college gyms, upstairs there is an arcade with skeet ball and air hockey. Finally the place has an indoor rock gym, it is an amazing place! The reason this place gets a 3 star rating is the lodging although livable by far has a Econolodge feel at least in the main lodge some of the newer buildings look like they have nicer newer places. The food is upper class camp Buffett style food. The employees are great very friendly and helpful. Over all a great place to get away and relax. I’d just love to see the main rooms updated.

Love Camp of The Woods — a wonderful place for a family vacation where everyone can grow in their love of the Lord and each other! We go each year with family friends and always look forward to going back. It’s definitely on the pricey side but we have found it worth it since we all look forward to our time away, learning, growing and relaxing together!

Great place for families and if you are a person of faith; however, prices are unreal for the accommodations. You are paying for all of the amenities and programs, but when you pay $ 2k for a week in a cabin, you expect something a bit nicer than a motel 6. Our kids love it here, which makes for a great family vacation and that’s priceless.
