Traveling to Knoxville to see my daughter we stopped by here. Finally a McDonalds with good service. And friendly staff. The quarter pounder i got was good. The restaurant was clean even the restrooms were clean.

Spartanburg water sucks! And they make their sweet tea with this water so it tastes like dirt. your only choice now is to get one of their carbonated beverages. As I was leaving, a woman told me that the store charges $.45 for a small cup of water. So basically you’re getting a cup of dirt-flavored water for $.45. Additionally, the store is notorious for being very slow. They are in a congested area so it’s crowded all the time. They don’t place a priority on moving cars quickly through the drive-through. If you visit this store, you better be prepared to wait a while. They have recently remodeled, though, so the interior looks a lot nicer than it used to.

I rarely go to McDonald’s but I needed something quick close by and I stopped here got a premium wrap and asked for no cheese on it. After the cashier failed to get the machine to say no cheese she asked one of the other workers to come over and help her, another 2 min pass by and they call the manager to help and finally they tell me it’s good and I paid for my food and sat down to eat, yet low and behold there is cheese on my wrap. I’ve been to other McDonald restaurants and this was no issue but with this one they all acted like they had no idea what they were doing. Pretty sad.

The grilled chicken southwest salad with southwest dressing is 390 cal and awesome. Place is very busy. Drive thru is king. Inside is slow. Tables not cleaned quick.

I came to S’Burg to visit my inlaws. I decided to venture out and do a breakfast run for the family. There was only one cashier, and she looked half tired; yawning every few minutes. I come up to the sleepy girl and she mutters something that I didn’t quite understand. I believe she said, «Hold on». I had a long order to list off so I stayed patient. Again, I wait on my order and she just hands the bags to me(any normal person would have assumed their order was 100% complete). I run through the list I brought, crosschecking with DaReceipt) and double check. I have no drink cups, no oatmeal, and no coffee. Each item I ask for after my checklist, she says«It’s not ready yet». Now if I took an assumption that my order was right, I would have left with only ¾ of my order and no drinks. I ask for the coffee and she said it wasn’t ready. I asked for the soda and she said, «I didn’t give you the cups?»(Would I be asking if I got them???). This employee is the personification of Bön Qui Qui from MADDTV by Angela Johnson — in fact, if I didn’t know that Bön Qui Qui was inspired by a Burger King Employee from Memphis, TN, I wouldn’t have known any better. To the credit of the franchise location, I had better service from them by another employee who was a lot more respectful, a couple of days before. Bön Qui Qui is the weak link in this franchise location. As for food quality, their biscuits are the lightest, largest and best I have ever tried in ALL of the McDonald Franchises. I haven’t tried their lunch menu but if the quality is a reflection of their breakfast, then the quality of the food is above par. The store is clean and well managed. Overall, I would have given them a 4 star for a fast food restaurant but Bön Qui Qui«Has to go! Has to go!». In an economy where people need jobs, I don’t understand why there are still people who act like this in Service Industries. Go see for yourself, though. Maybe she had a bad day. However, first impressions for a customer are only made once. This gal blew it.
