The food is really pretty much what you would expect but the service is what will keep you coming back. The customer service is outstanding. The sweet tea is not really what we «southerners» would call sweet and the sandwiches are no better or worse than any other«deli» but if Reginald or one of the other wonderful employees can’t put a smile on your face then you should have eaten at home.

Very good deli type food. Have tried a different sandwich on each have visit and have not been disappointed. Would equate them to a Panera type restaurant but with a larger menu of sandwiches.. Average prices on sandwiches runs from $ 6.39 to $ 8.99. They offer subs, deli sandwiches, clubs, salads, soups, wraps, grilled sandwiches, fancy baked potatoes and a few desserts. Nice clean atmosphere too. Tired of burgers? Check this place out.

Usually one of my favorite lunch spots, but… today I ordered the salad with grilled chicken and it was not good. Just lettuce with lots of hard«stalks,» cold chicken, and worse of all — a piece of cold uncooked bacon on top. Honestly, Wendy’s salads are better than this one! Usually eat sandwiches here and LOVE the potato salad, so… guess I’ll just abstain from ordering salad.

We were traveling on I-26 North and were looking for a place for lunch. We found McCallister’s on Unilocal and remembered stopping there previously. Parking lot was full but there was no line inside. Our order was completed in minutes. The food was delivered on about 10 minutes. Food was excellent and service great. Our drinks were refilled promptly. Overall a great experience. Would recommend it anytime.

Don’t order food to go! I ordered a taco salad to go and when I returned to my hotel room I discovered all they gave me was the chili, salad greens, the smallest portion of guacamole I’ve ever seen and only 4 chips! No cheese, tomatoes, sour cream or onions as indicated on the menu and 4 chips is not nearly enough for a taco salad. I was furious that I had spent almost $ 15.00 for this meal and ended up not eating it because it was missing everything. I travel to the area frequently and I’ll never go back.

McAlister’s I would call an upscale deli. It is located in a large shopping center in it’s own building. Plenty of parking and seating. You step up to the counter, order and pay for your meal and then a waitress brings your food to your table. They have several types of sandwhices, soupes and salads. My favorite is the MAXSTUFFEDBAKEDPOTATO, it is the largest spud I’ve ever seen. It is then stuffed with chili, onions and cheese. It is a MEAL in itself.

Once again McAlister’s disappoints with their overpriced undercrafted menu. Ordered a bowl of soup which should have been good considering it wasn’t scratch made in house but sadly had the telltale scorched flavor of having been kept in a holding kettle for hours. Server was asked to bring crackers with soup which resulted in 2 crushed packets being tossed upon the table. Should have went to Jason’s Deli or Panera where they actually are interested in preparing & serving good deli food.
